Character Information

Temperament: Hakubo

Hakubo (a Touhou LW original) refers to the twilight sky that appears after sunset. This is an apt temperament for Ringo, an inhabitant of the enormous Capital that follows a singular fate. Her original temperament has been changed beyond recognition by the great systems of the Capital. This temperament is specialized to solely resist Earth Phase.

Ability/Backstory: Capable of growing in strength by eating dango (Concealed)

The ability of Ringo from the Capital (a Touhou LW original). Her ability doesn't appear to be any different from the usual Ringo. There are many mysteries surrounding it, but in terms of function, it may be among the easiest to understand. It's well known that the moon rabbits pound mochi to account for the crimes of Chang'e, who is imprisoned. However, they also make dango to eat. Mochi and dango are similar, but the former is made by pounding steamed mochi-rice and forming it into balls, while the latter is made by kneading rice flour with water. Since long ago, a pair of tools resembling a pestle and mortar called a "kine" and an "usu" have been used to grind rice into rice flour in a process similar to that of making medicine. Methods for making hard ingredients edible such as grinding and infusing have existed since ancient times. They are so old that, in China, they have strong ties to the concept of divine power. Elements of ancient magic can be found in the making of dango. This world's Ringo and Seiran go way back. They may even be best described as childhood friends. And for them, eating dango takes them back to when they were children. Fate set them on separate paths after a certain incident that occurred while they were both attending moon rabbit training academy. Seiran began a career as a blue-class investigator, while Ringo wandered astray. Some time later, Ringo became a yellow-class investigator. Due to the difference in their training periods, Ringo was the first to start work as an investigator. The two reunited when Seiran was assigned as Ringo's subordinate, their relationship still broken in two. The inhabitants of the Capital and the surrounding cities are known as "sisters," with the majority of them being moon rabbits. They are also sometimes referred to as "capital folk" or "city folk," respectively. In accordance with certain standards, all moon rabbits are assigned a color, with each color representing a social class and a set of rights. All the rights in the Capital are managed and determined by colors. Your color determines your school and profession, the types of food and products available to you, the quality of your daily goods and tools, as well as what information you have access to. Colors are what maintain order in the Capital. The colors are split into seven classes based on the colors of a rainbow. In order from lowest social standing to highest: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Purple. Ringo is "Yellow: Tachibana," and Seiran is "Blue: Asagi." Reisen was originally Sky Blue (class unknown), but fell to "Red: Peach."

Attacks

Bazoo-Laser

The Spread Shot of Ringo from the Capital (a Touhou LW original). In this attack, she fires a laser from her bazooka. Hold up. A laser-shooting bazooka?! Any normal rabbit would be scared fur-less by such a crazy idea! Of course, the one who created it was Watatsuki no Toyohime from the Plentiful Temple, who is lovingly (and secretly) referred to as the Wonderful Inventor.

Bullets
  • Bazoo-Laser
  • Bazoo-High Laser
  • Bazoo-Twin Laser
  • Bazoo-Ripple Laser
  • Bazoo-Multiple Laser
  • Bazoo-Wide Laser
Bazoo-Fire

The Focus Shot of Ringo from the Capital (a Touhou LW original). In this attack, she blasts fire from her bazooka. Hold up. A bazooka that shoots fire?! Any normal rabbit would surely get giddy at the thought of such an incredible thing. However, it's installed with a voice-recognition system that ensures you can only fire when screaming an ability name. It's a shame, but it's all in the name of safety.

Bullets
  • Bazoo-Fire
  • Bazoo-Flame
  • Bazoo-Blaze
  • Bazoo-Flare
  • Bazoo-Heat
  • Bazoo-Burning
Rabbit Sign: Berry Berry Dango

A Spell Card of Ringo from the Capital. The dango in this attack are presumably all different berry flavors. Ringo has a talent for using dango as bullets, and with their round shape, they each resemble a beautiful full moon. Although, kneading berries into the dough turns them red, so perhaps they look more like blood moons?

Bullets
  • Strawberry Dango
  • Cranberry Dango
  • Blackberry Dango
  • Blueberry Dango
  • Raspberry Dango
  • Mulberry Dango
Rabbit Sign: Three Dango Sisters

A Spell Card of Ringo from the Capital. In this attack, she fires three dango lined up in a row. Serving three dango per skewer is not so much a cliche as it is a form of artistic expression. Sure, you could put a fourth or a fifth on there, but three gives each skewer a better sense of balance. Sanshoku dango really are a thing of beauty.

Bullets
  • Eldest Sister's Dango Bullet
  • Second Sister's Dango Bullet (Berry Flavored)
  • Youngest Sister's Dango Bullet
  • Eldest Sister's Dango Bullet (Berry Flavored)
  • Second Sister's Dango Bullet
  • Youngest Sister's Dango Bullet (Berry Flavored)
Moon Bombardment (Lunatic Bazooka)

The Last Word of Ringo from the Capital (a Touhou LW original). In this attack, she unleashes the full potential of her bazooka. The Ringo from this world has already retired and conducts her own investigations in secret. She's been using this bazooka since before retirement, but its comical size doesn't quite fit her hardboiled-detective image. Fitted with a voice-recognition system, its official name is the Ringo Bazooka. Of course, only the Wonderful Inventor (Toyohime) could have given it such a wonderful name. Ringo definitely didn't retire because she didn't get along with Toyohime... right?

Bullets
  • Laser Bazooka
  • High Laser Bazooka
  • Wide Laser Bazooka
  • Missile Bazooka
  • Heavy Missile Bazooka
  • Multi-Missile Bazooka
