Temperament: Reika

Reika (a Touhou LW original) refers to a cooler-than-average summer. This is an apt temperament for Yuyuko, the Netherworld princess of the world of eternal summer. The Three Essences and Five Phases vanished with dreams of spring, leaving only a tropical paradise in their wake! Water Phase (drinks), Wood Phase (fruits), and Earth Phase (vegetables) all seem edible. Metal Phase, on the other hand, is probably not...

Ability: Capable of manipulating death (Beach)

The ability of Yuyuko Saigyouji from the world of eternal summer (a Touhou LW original). This ability isn't any different from the Yuyuko of our world's ability. However, as someone who can manipulate death, there was something bothering her. Summer is the season of prosperity. Put in terms of a human's life, it's the period in which you work the hardest. If spring is the period from birth to reaching maturity, and autumn is the period of retirement and old age, then summer, which falls between them, must be the period with the most excitement. In contrast, winter is the season of death, which Yuyuko rules over. Considering the fact that phantoms await reincarnation in the Netherworld and that Yuyuko is a ghost who hasn't been reincarnated, you can conclude that Yuyuko stands on the border between winter and spring. That's why, in a certain sense, Yuyuko was quicker than even Yukari to notice something was wrong with the world of eternal summer. Yukari thought there was some secret hidden in the world's history, but Yuyuko believed temperament was the key. "I wonder where all the other seasons' temperament went. We'd better investigate... by eating!" exclaimed Yuyuko. "By eating?" replied Youmu, her eyes wide with disbelief. "I thought you only had a taste for sophisticated dishes." "That's true. In fact, I'm twice as particular about food than a regular person." "But this is nothing like how you ate before!" Alas, her servant's protests were in vain as Yuyuko began eating everything this world had to offer. But hold on a second. Ghosts don't need to eat. So why has Yuyuko been eating even more than usual? Why is she marching around, determined to sample every dish under the eternal summer sun? Why does Yuyuko look so cute as she's stuffing her face with a smile? (That last question was submitted by Youmu.) The answer is simple: because she's investigating temperament. Every living being contains qi and possesses temperament. According to the principles of the Five Phases philosophy, it's no exaggeration to say everything in existence is made of temperament. What's more, food speeds up your qi cycle like nothing else. By walking around eating, Yuyuko could use the five aspects of taste to identify the Five Phases of the surrounding temperament. Plus, doing so was easy, so she could investigate as much as she wanted. However, upon hearing that explanation, Youmu replied, "Are you sure you're not just making up an excuse to eat?" Yuyuko was eating while walking along the beach with Yukari and the others when suddenly, she yelled, "It can't be!" She had realized that whoever was disrupting the seasons' equilibrium must be just as powerful as Yukari. She focused on the flavors in her mouth and determined they originated from the other side of Gensokyo. Although, perhaps it's better to call it the "reverse side" of Gensokyo. Only sages could possibly have any association with a place like that. Yukari listened to Yuyuko's discovery with a look suggesting she knew more about the subject than she'd led on. Then, in an instant, she blurted out several theories. "Maybe someone attuned to these things noticed before you and has already gone to the reverse side." "There are a few people capable of something like that." "During a certain someone's incident, a fairy looked like she got a tan..." "...Based on the scale of this world, maybe it wasn't just fairies that were affected in this way."

Saigyou Palm - Wandering Foreign Lands

The Last Word of Yuyuko Saigyouji from the world delirious with eternal summer (a Touhou LW original). She drinks delicious-looking coconut water in this attack. Of course, the Saigyou Ayakashi is a cherry tree youkai, and that's still the case in this world. However, as the world became a tropical paradise, it changed its appearance to that of a palm tree and became known as the Saigyou Palm in a feat of pure refinement. Yuyuko was delighted with these changes, which, in turn, delighted the Saigyou Ayakashi... Wait, was that always the kind of relationship they had? Seeing the Saigyou Ayakashi's new appearance, the Netherworld's cherry blossom spirits all decided to transform into their favorite trees. Sweet-smelling trees were particularly popular among the spirits, so now Hakugyokurou is surrounded by a phantom orchard. This world's Spring Snow Incident also had a tropical spin. It didn't involve winter and spring but rather a cool summer and a blisteringly hot summer.
