Desolate Faith in Weatherworn Mountains

Shiroi Oroshi (a Touhou LW original) refers to a white wind blowing down from the mountains. In a world without mountain gods, this blessed wind no longer blows. Humans must take care of the mountains themselves because that is what they wished for. This woman is a fragment of Kanako Yasaka, a god who creates heavenliness (strong against Metal Phase) and displays her power openly (strong against Sun Essence). Incidentally, her shimenawa (the large straw rope on her back) is white because the color faded due to many years of exposure to ultraviolet light.
The ability of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). She has completely lost her ability, and she has forgotten everything about herself. Even though this Kanako has lost all her memories that relate in any way to who she was previously, she has retained her general knowledge and common sense. She believes herself to be nothing but an ordinary human. She has also retained an interest in science and economics. In fact, these interests form an integral part of this Kanako's identity. This may seem strange since science and economics are often considered antithetical to faith and gods. However, this is a misconception, evidenced by how the majority of scientists, engineers, economists, and executives throughout the world believe in one god or another. Regardless, there is still a significant problem with this. Namely, that gods change with the times. Similar to how youkai evolve into new youkai, gods also evolve into something new. While they may retain their original form and aspects for a time, everything about them eventually gets replaced, just like the Ship of Theseus. When gods die, they die in obscurity. Their passing goes unremarked and unnoticed. However, it is not only gods that die. Science and economics will eventually die, too. Whether this should be the case or not is irrelevant. It is the fate of all aspects of culture to be replaced with something new. In time, all things end up in Gensokyo.
The Spread Shot of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). Lost divine whirlwinds attack her foes. This Kanako can't shoot any bullets. But then again, perhaps that's normal. No one should be able to shoot bullets like this. At least, that's what Kanako thinks. She is constantly searching for a logical explanation for the strange phenomenon where fireworks suddenly appear around her.
The Focus Shot of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). Lost onbashira attack her foes. Science is the belief that even if something can't be explained right now, it will eventually be understood in the future. No matter how strange and mysterious it may seem, the fact that Kanako can fly indicates that she must have the means to do so. And if there's a means, it can be explained with science. Even if the means is magical, divine, or supernatural in nature... given enough time, it can always be broken down and replicated with science.
A Spell Card of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). She attacks with the lost faith in the mountains. Humans weren't able to abandon their gods. The gods didn't die. At least not in the way that a certain philosopher said they had. Looking at the world as a whole, most people believe in some kind of god. True atheists are a scant minority. In Japan, where the Yaoyorozu no Kami gather, it is almost impossible to erase every trace of every god from people's hearts. So, when do gods die?
A Spell Card of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). She attacks with her lost divine spirit authority. The gods will surely die the moment humans attain full knowledge of everything in their perceivable world.
The Last Word of Kanako Yasaka from the lost world of spirits (a Touhou LW original). She attacks with a lost divine festival. Generally, experts or specialists in a particular field tend to have faith in something because they have an acute awareness of the world's mysteries and their own lack of knowledge. They are also driven to uncover these mysteries. The first place where gods die would probably be in the hearts of foolish people who live day-to-day ambivalent to the world around them. However, nowadays, everyone is supported by systems devised and put in place by wise experts working together with fools, so the majority of people have lost all interest in pursuing the truth. Human-devised systems can satiate hunger and surface-level desires much more effectively than gods, and in the end, that's what most people prioritize.
"Without any memories, I have no way of knowing if I ever had any memories to lose in the first place."
"The name Kanako Yasaka is the only thing I can accept without question."
"Even if gods do exist, I sincerely doubt that I am one of them."
