Temperament: Kogarashi
Kogarashi (a Touhou LW original) refers to the cold wind that blows at the beginning of winter. This is an apt temperament for Letty, who is a youkai of winter. Letty is endowed with Water Phase, the element of winter, and Sun Essence, as she lives in harmony with nature. The flexible and patient Water Phase resists Metal Phase, because metal collects water, but it is weak to Earth Phase, because earth directs water. The alluring and arrogant Sun Essence resists the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence, but it is weak to the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of manipulating chill
Letty's ability as a youkai of winter. This ability apparently allows her to manipulate the nature of winter. Since this ability is so closely tied to the natural world, she has immense power during the winter season. However, she seems to struggle to gather much power and is always sleepy during seasons that are not winter. Looking into the records, it appears that she doesn't take well to being considered similar to ice fairies like Cirno; this is perhaps because of her pride as a youkai. The two seem to be a good match since Letty is a type of youkai with particularly close ties to nature, and fairies represent nature. If they work together, the two have the potential to make up for each other's weaknesses and become more powerful.

Letty Whiterock's Last Word (a Touhou LW original). This attack collects the cold air and produces a large amount of very hard ice. It almost looks like silver appears out of thin air. It is thought that the opponent is physically pelted before they can even feel the cold. This is due to the rapid and powerful diamond dust. The attack uses the moisture from the air, making the surroundings very dry.
