Temperament: Anun
Anun (a Touhou LW original) refers to dark clouds that block sunlight and omens that indicate something bad will happen in the future. An apt temperament for Shion, the most-despicable and disastrous older twin sister. Shion is endowed with Wood Phase, an element that doesn't seem like it would attract much money, and Moon Essence, with her hidden passion and determination. The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood. The cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence resists the alluring and arrogant Sun Essence, but it is weak to the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of making people unlucky, including herself
She causes misfortune for herself and all those near her. It seems that Shion cannot control this ability, so she and people close by are always affected. Furthermore, when Shion gets angry, she casts an overwhelming aura of negative energy that causes misfortune for herself and everyone else. This misfortune is not just limited to financial luck, as it also negatively affects the luck involved in contests and battles. The twins used this to try and achieve their ambition, thus causing an incident. Due to this piteous ability, Shion was housed at Hakurei Shrine for a time after the incident was resolved, as the shrine's financial luck could not possibly get any worse. The saving grace for Shion was her meeting with a certain celestial who is seemingly immune to her aura of negativity due to exceptional innate good luck.

The fallout from this collapse led to an extremely long period of economic stagnation.
