A Tale of Necromancy

Story
Seiga Kaku is a mysterious wicked hermit hailing from China. Having revived Yoshika and turned her into a jiang shi, she now treats her like a pet. Their relationship seems to be a positive one, and even with Yoshika's rotting body, Seiga still thinks her adorable.

Yoshika Miyako is a corpse from ancient Japan that was brought back to life and turned into a jiang shi by Seiga. As a corpse, she faces the risk of rotting away, but thanks to the anti-rot spell placed upon her, she has nothing to worry about.

Hermits are humans said to have attained immortality through training and secret techniques. They endure their brutal training regime in order to fulfill their goal of becoming celestials. Seiga is free-spirited and doesn't distinguish between good and evil. As a result, she tends to act solely out of self-interest. Having strayed from the path to Heaven, perhaps she is enjoying life as a wicked hermit.

Necromancy is the name given to dark magic conducted through communications with the dead and spirits. However, in the outside world, many oppose it, labeling it immoral. Seiga turned Yoshika into a jiang shi by resurrecting her corpse, meaning it would likely fall under the category of "necromancy."

Seiga resurrected Yoshika, but she's never made it clear why. Perhaps she wanted someone to share in all the happiness and sorrow to come throughout her eternal life. Or maybe she was just testing the skills she acquired through her rigorous training. Only Seiga knows the true answer. But even now, Seiga continues to keep Yoshika close by her side, showing how much she values her.
