Light of Rebellion & Salvation

Story
Recently, the Grassroots Youkai Network girls heard a rumor about an unusual live music club gaining popularity. With Sekibanki carrying Wakasagihime in her arms, they met up with Kagerou and immediately went to check it out. To date, many bands have appeared in Gensokyo, and the rock bands have always been the most intense performers. "What type of music do you think we'll get to listen to there?!" The three youkai couldn't be more excited as they made their way to the music club.

The trio knew what rock music was and were hoping for a rock band to perform. "Rock music shines a cynical light on what's going on in the world," thought Sekibanki, her excitement bubbling over. "Rock music gets its name from literal rocks. I wonder if they're pretty," thought Wakasagihime, her eyes twinkling with delight. "Rock apparently includes screams from the soul. I wonder how loud they are," thought Kagerou, her heart beginning to pound in her chest. With wildly different thoughts running through their heads, the three youkai waited eagerly for the show to start. None of them were quite expecting the ground-shaking bass riffs and eardrum-bursting guitar chords that were about to come...

Whatever the time, wherever the stage, whoever you're with, staying true to yourself and playing from the heart... that's what rock music is all about. "Incredible!" Before they knew it, the Grassroots Youkai Network girls had fallen in love with rock music. "Rock is about having a rebellious spirit!" In a past incident, these three youkai had all been deemed weak by a shrine maiden and a magician. They knew none of them were particularly strong, but at that moment, their hearts were ablaze. Since then, they've been to many concerts at the live music club, with today's being the eighth. No doubt it won't be their last.

Temple of Rock "Oshi" is a Japanese slang term used to refer to a certain person that you're a huge fan of, to the point you can't help but recommend them to those around you. There was a variety of merch on sale at the music club, including some rather unique uchiwa (Japanese fans). However, these uchiwa weren't for blowing cool air in your face. What's important is what was written on them. The one Kagerou had chosen read "geki oshi," which loosely translates to "You're my no.1 oshi." "Since we each found our oshis, every day has been better than the last!" "I never said anything about finding an oshi, Kagerou. I just happen to like them more than anyone else..." "Spoken like a true fan!" Indeed, each of the three had found their oshi and, at that very moment, were sending screams of delight up to the stage to support them.

For those up on the stage, the Grassroots Youkai Network girls made for quite the sight. They appeared to be glimmering in the same way sunlight does when it reflects off the Moon. Each time a performer sang a note, the crowd lit up with glee. Each time one of them waved their arm to the beat, the crowd's eyes lit up like stars in the night sky. Every time the band put on a show, their fans came to support them without fail. Supporting your oshi regardless of what others might say is totally rock 'n' roll. Even in the midst of such a large crowd, Kagerou, Wakasagihime, and Sekibanki stood out, shining like a light of rebellion and salvation.
