Choujuu Gigaku is an extremely popular band with fans all over Gensokyo. Their explosive twist on the rock genre includes some altogether unique melodies and singing choices. It seems they're not everyone's cup of tea, but there are those who idolize them, and their most passionate fans make sure never to miss a show.
The band is something of a legendary presence in the Gensokyo music world and, on occasion, they perform alongside music-loving youkai and instrument tsukumogami.
Professional musicians have to practice constantly, and it seems Choujuu Gigaku knows it. They practice day and night to provide fans with even better songs, even more impassioned singing, and even more breathtaking performances. It may just be practice, but pros have no choice but to give it their all. Mystia and Kyouko were holding nothing back during their singing practice... but little did they know, disaster was fast approaching.
Musical Madness: Rock Till Ya Drop!
It seems Choujuu Gigaku have been spotted practicing all over Gensokyo. They practice wherever they can, using whatever equipment they find. That's what makes them pros. Regardless of whether they have access to instruments or amps, their singing is always extremely loud. As a result, they apparently get dozens of complaints.
Pros are no strangers to mid-practice accidents. Or rather, only once you've overcome your share of mid-practice accidents can you call yourself a pro.
Once again, Choujuu Gigaku were doing some late-night singing practice not far from Myouren Temple. They were so focused, in fact, that they didn't realize the head priest was approaching. She was smiling, but there was a terrifying look in her eye.
What happened that night has come to be known as the Midnight Singing Silencing.
