Sanae Kochiya is serious and highly sociable. She's cheerful but a little ditsy. Aside from her bloodline, power, and past, she's just an ordinary young girl.
Originally from the outside world, she sometimes shows a strange type of faith in and attachment to robots. Even in Gensokyo, where anything and everything is possible, that makes her unique. It's unclear what sort of life she led in the outside world, but even now that she's surrounded by magic and other species, her faith in robots hasn't been shaken.
A Brocken specter refers to the magnified shadow cast upon fog or cloud when someone stands with the sun at their back and the rainbow-like ring that forms around it. For generations, these shadows have been revered as gods or feared as monsters.
Even if what she saw was a Brocken specter formed from her own shadow, it made no difference to Sanae. What mattered wasn't how it formed, but how it made her feel. The specter she saw appeared as a giant robot. No, it WAS a giant robot. Once Sanae had decided that, no one could convince her otherwise. After all, a dream is a dream, no matter how fickle.
Height: about as tall as a 10-story building. Weight: about as heavy as a 10-story building. Powered by nuclear fusion, a clean, perfected giant robot. A lone warrior bearing the weight of the world's expectations, defiant in the face of insurmountable evil. Each time he swings his iron fist of justice, Gensokyo is bathed in hope's light. To us, he's known as Hisoutensoku!
