Hina Kagiyama, the misfortune god, enjoyed her trip to the hot springs. Her pink yukata was decorated with white camellia flowers. White camellias symbolize perfect beauty and impeccable charm, and they also act as charms against misfortune. She got Rinnosuke to design her yukata along with her hat and parasol to ensure they all matched.
Medicine Melancholy, the sentient doll, had the time of her life at the hot springs. She wore a purple-pink yukata and a scarf around her neck to keep warm. She asked Hina to tie it in a bow for her. But what made her the most happy was that her constant companion―her tiny winged friend―also got a matching outfit.
Marisa Kirisame, the ordinary magician, had a soak in the hot springs. She wore a light brown yukata and put up her hair in two buns. Being an avid explorer, it seems she already knew her way around the Underworld hot spring town. She even has a favorite souvenir shop she always visits. On this particular day, she carried a large oil paper umbrella to shield herself from the snow.
Hot Spring Days: Work Hard, Play Hard!
The three leisurely walked around the lantern-lit hot spring town as powdery snow continued to fall. The streets were lined with shops selling all kinds of curious treats and knickknacks unique to the Underworld.
"Thinking back, wasn't it snowing the first time I came here, too?" Marisa mumbled.
"Brrrr, it's way too cold," complained Medicine as she rubbed her tiny hands together.
"Then why don't we hold hands?" Hina held out her right hand, clad in a snow-white glove. Medicine's face lit up as she reached out and held it tightly.
Part of the reason Hina wanted to hold hands was to prevent Medicine from getting lost, but she wisely decided to keep that to herself.
"It doesn't look like it'll let up any time soon." Marisa held out her umbrella to try and keep the snow off Hina and Medicine, but unfortunately, it wasn't big enough for the three of them.
"Yeah, you're right. I should probably use my umbrella, too." Matching her words to action, Hina opened her umbrella. "All right, Medicine, you can―"
"I'll walk in the middle!" shouted Medicine, unable to contain her excitement. Looking down at her innocent smile, Hina couldn't help but smile back. Hina and Marisa worked together, holding their umbrellas side-by-side to keep the snow off Medicine as they continued to explore the hot spring town.
