I'm Shizuha Aki, the goddess of autumn leaves. Autumn is my art. If you can't understand that, I'll kick you away.
Introduction
Stop, you're in the presence of a god. I am Shizuha Aki, the deity who brings the autumn leaves to Gensokyo. With the Youkai Mountain as my canvas, I painted this autumnal landscape. The divine spirits who gather around me support my artistic endeavors. Quarreling with foreign gods produces nothing. Ask yourself: can people live on baked sweet potatoes alone? I strike the heart with the very brush that colors the autumn leaves, and topple my enemies with kicks that make the leaves fall. Those who interfere will be defeated... So whisper the dancing leaves. Can't you hear them?
Purple Heart
Place your faith in me, Hyper Shizuha. But... don't tell Minoriko!
Blue Heart
Even if you're starving, you must never abandon your noble spirit.
Green Heart
I walk this path not for riches or recognition, but purely for the sake of beauty... Yet, I can't seem to gather any faith.
Orange Heart
The great deities Konohanachiru-hime and Iwanaga-hime have become my patrons! Now I can focus solely on my brush strokes! Though... I have to admit, I'm feeling the pressure.
Pink Heart
I thought the village humans had finally awakened to a culture beyond food. But... that was only because the Hakurei shrine maiden started her god-summoning training, and some divine spirits from the Moon were just hanging around...
Winter
The Forest of Magic is my second canvas. But right now, the leaves have all fallen, leaving it full of holes. My inspiration's run dry. *sigh* This is rough.
It wouldn't be any fun to paint the same way every time. That's why I always add a little creativity. Then, no two pieces are ever the same.
Enhancement
I got it! Expect big things from my next piece!
Return
Those bullets were invigorating. I just know my brush will flow across the canvas now.
Home 1
Those foreign gods appearing out of nowhere wrecked my painting schedule. I'm as blue as can be. Progress... has ground to a halt.
Home 2
Even when I paint the autumn leaves with a new technique, the mountain youkai don't care. They totally ignore me! Then they go on about leaf-viewing parties and make a mess of everything!
Home 3
No matter how large, any tree on the mountain will drop its leaves with a single kick from me. I can't trust humans with this. Time to give every last tree a kick!
Reaction 1
...Hrrm. My brush isn't flowing across the canvas.
Reaction 2
Maybe I'll take a walk to clear my head.
Reaction 3
I can't go for a walk with you sleeping on my lap. Tch... *pats head*
Task
Tasks? That's not really my strong point... Umm, sorry. Don't cry.
Task Complete
You finished your task? Well done. Come here and I'll pat your head.
Mail
A letter? You really are a gifted child to be able to handle such things.
Errand Finished
Looks like someone's back. I don't want to lose focus. Will you go and greet them for me?
Start of Battle
No fighting on the mountain. This is my studio!
Mid-Wave
Among the Yaoyorozu no Kami, I'm the most stoic.
Victory
Kicking down leaves that I painted myself feels incredible!
Defeat
The falling leaves call to me. They say I lost.

Character Information
Temperament: Aki Tsu-iri
Aki Tsu-iri (a Touhou LW original) refers to long periods of rain in autumn. This is an apt temperament for Shizuha, an overly autumnal god. In addition to the temperament of autumn in Gensokyo (Metal Phase), it seems she's also endowed with a temperament that originates from the Lunar Capital's divine spirits (Moon Essence).
The cold and silent Metal Phase resists Earth Phase, because earth bears metal, but it is weak to Fire Phase, because fire refines metal.
The cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence resists the alluring and arrogant Sun Essence, but it is weak to the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of controlling the turning of leaves (Prolonged)
The ability of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). It doesn't appear to be significantly different from Shizuha's original ability.
This Shizuha is suspected of causing the 10th prolonged incident. The gods living on the Youkai Mountain were not happy with the invading gods from the outside world. However, since most of these Youkai Mountain gods did not have any shrines to their name, they lived frugally off scraps of faith and thus lacked the strength to fight back. Frustratingly, they had no choice but to rely on the mountain youkai or the humans living at the base of the mountain to sort things out.
Just as Shizuha was about to resign herself to her fate and go down in style, she received the gift of power from someone. She assumed it came from her countless fellow gods... the Yaoyorozu no Kami. These gods rarely reach a consensus on anything, so it's not like they would have all agreed to support Shizuha. However, while they were still debating, some might have decided to simply lend her their power. Perhaps this has something to do with the Hakurei shrine maiden. Rumor has it that since the war on the mountain seemed to have no end in sight, she started training for something else. A youkai had begun teaching her how to summon gods. However, some of the power that Shizuha received did not feel familiar to her. She had heard another rumor that the descendants of gods are currently living on the Moon, but it couldn't be from them, right? Back then, she had yet to realize that these seemingly unrelated mysteries could all be traced back to a single root cause.
Autumn is merely one of the four seasons that cycle without end. However, autumn's temperament is Metal Phase, and metal is unchanging. The Youkai Mountain also sits in the western corner of Gensokyo, which coincides with Metal Phase's cardinal direction. According to the were-hakutaku who presides over Gensokyo's history, the Youkai Mountain is dedicated to Iwanaga-hime. Hearing about this powerful god, Shizuha thought she should go pay her respects to her. After all, as a god of autumn, she has a close conceptual affinity with the god of immutability.
However, there was a slight problem: Shizuha had never seen Iwanaga-hime before. Shizuha thought she might find her at the mountain's summit, but what if the god she met there wasn't Iwanaga-hime? She could be a bunrei or have a different form due to the syncretism between Shinto and Buddhism, so there's no way she'd be able to tell just by looking. Also, since Shizuha has forgotten what deity she herself derives from, the being she meets might not even know if they are Iwanaga-hime or not. For example, they could be a bunrei of a god living in the Lunar Capital on the Moon. If they're just a bunrei summoned to Gensokyo, they might have a completely different form, and there wouldn't be much point in Shizuha going to meet them. It was then, as she was humming and harring about whether to climb to the top of the mountain, that Shizuha realized something: perhaps her newfound power came from Iwanaga-hime.
Attacks
Autumn Leaf Paint
The Spread Shot of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). She displays her divine power over the autumn leaves. Shizuha is a goddess, but she is also an artist and poet who paints intricate and vibrant patterns on leaves. While humans may yearn for perfect and everlasting beauty, beauty can also be found in destruction and entropy. Paradoxically, the more ubiquitous a thing of beauty is, the more temporary catharsis it provides.

Falling Leaves Kick
The Focus Shot of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). She displays her divine power over falling leaves. Apparently, the leaves only fall because Shizuha goes around and kicks every tree. Being an artist is actually quite physically demanding. You shouldn't assume that an artist is pure, quiet, and unassuming just because their work has a serene beauty. Artists tend to be more in tune with their desires and darker emotions, so their studios can often end up looking like war-torn battlefields.

Leaf Sign: Falling Leaves of Madness
A Spell Card of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). She displays the power of the autumn gods. Autumn is the harvest season, but it also marks the end of summer and warns of the coming winter. The seasons never stop turning, so while bountiful harvests evoke feelings of joy and gratitude, they also lead to stockpiling, rationing, and a tightening of the belt to make sure the food lasts as long as it needs to. Humans only learned to prepare for autumn's harvest because they had experienced many gruelling winters. If humans did not have the ability to plan ahead, they would consume all the food by autumn's end and perish in the winter.

Autumn Leaves: Goddess' Quiet Passion
A Spell Card of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). She displays her power as a god of art. Art is the product of human ingenuity and skill. So, the idea of "natural art" is a contradiction. However, it has long been believed that gods, similar to humans, shape the natural world according to their will. Shizuha, who uses a brush to paint leaves and kicks tree trunks to make leaves fall, remains true to these old beliefs.

Shinto Mountain of Autumn Grass, Trees & Flowers
The Last Word of Shizuha Aki from the world where mountain gods cause an uproar (a Touhou LW original). She displays the power of the gods of demise gathered on the Youkai Mountain. There are no limits to the wants and desires of humans. No one knows this better than the gods, and that is why they were against granting humans immortality.
Humans can continue to change and grow precisely because they cannot live forever, but it would be foolish to assume that they were denied immortality solely for this reason. As humans live, they proliferate, spreading across the land... But how much land is there? Even if the universe is infinite, humans can never spread beyond their home galaxy. Humanity is fated to end while gazing longingly at all the stars and planets out of their reach. The galaxy is a massive sealed room, a perfectly enclosed prison.
The great tragedy of humans is that they are aware of this. It makes them question their purpose. Why do humans continue to multiply? What do they hope to achieve? Since they'll inevitably hit an insurmountable obstacle, does anything they do now have meaning? What's worse is that there's a distinct possibility that they will exhaust all sources of energy before they even manage to leave their home planet.
Once a materialistic civilization attains peak prosperity, all that awaits the later generations is a slow decline. They reap the benefits of the civilization they created while consuming their ever-dwindling resources. This is civilization's autumn, the start of humanity's long years of twilight. It is impossible to determine whether the gods planned this or if it is the result of human choices made in opposition to the gods. Regardless, since ancient times, some gods have endeavored to teach humanity that true beauty can be found in things that don't last forever―things that fade and become silent.
