Character Information

Temperament: Rembrandt Rays
Rembrandt Rays (a Touhou LW original) refers to crepuscular rays. This is an apt temperament for Nazrin, who quietly yet relentlessly works to free Byakuren. Nazrin is endowed with a flexible temperament (Water Phase), a treasure-finding temperament (Sun Essence), and the temperament of Prithvi (Earth Phase). The flexible and patient Water Phase resists Metal Phase, because metal collects water, but it is weak to Earth Phase, because earth directs water. The alluring and arrogant Sun Essence resists the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence, but it is weak to the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence. The encompassing and regenerative Earth Phase resists Fire Phase, because fire produces earth, but it is weak to Wood Phase, because wood parts earth.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of finding sought-for items (Prolonged)
The ability of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). There is no noticeable difference between her ability and the abilities of Nazrins from other worlds. The 12th Prolonged Incident. The prolonged series of events sparked by the goal of releasing the Sealed Great Magician, Byakuren Hijiri, from her confinement in Makai. In this world, the situation escalated, leaving Reimu and the other incident resolvers struggling. Their opponents, meanwhile, seem to have grown stronger than they should be. This Nazrin is no exception. Reimu and the others cross paths with Nazrin twice: first in the skies of Gensokyo, and later above Makai. It is only during that second meeting that Nazrin seems to have gained additional power. Between the two encounters, Nazrin was sent by Shou Toramaru on a covert search across Gensokyo to recover the Jeweled Pagoda. She most likely retrieved it at Kourindou, then followed the Palanquin Ship on its way to Makai. She must've powered up during this time, and it couldn't have been thanks to her allies. If they possessed a way to empower her, they wouldn't have waited until then. Something occurred that gave her power, but the cause of this event might trace back to an earlier time. Before the Palanquin Ship emerged into Gensokyo's skies through a geyser, it is believed to have been located in the Underworld, home to Former Hell, the Former Capital, and the Palace of the Earth Spirits. It is known that Ichirin Kumoi and Unzan, along with Minamitsu Murasa, lived there, and Nazrin was among them as well. The Palanquin Ship's crew, later associated with Myouren Temple, were originally youkai who gathered at Byakuren's temple. Hated by humans for that very reason, they were sealed in the Underworld, so it only makes sense that they were living there. Nazrin, however, isn't one of Byakuren's disciples, but a messenger of Bishamonten. Her being there makes sense only if she was fulfilling her duty of watching over Shou Toramaru, Bishamonten's avatar. Even if only for appearances, it would have been unacceptable for the avatar of Bishamonten to be left unsupervised. Which would mean that Shou was also living in the Underworld at that time. Except, the secondary true data suggests that Shou Toramaru remained at the temple until it fell into ruin. Additionally, the text describes the return of Byakuren's companions who had been sealed in the Underworld, suggesting that Shou was not among those sealed away. This raises questions about the earlier assumption that Shou lived underground alongside the others. For now, the matter remains unresolved. It will be revisited in Shou Toramaru's section, where her connection to Nazrin can be fully examined. Nazrin's enchanted artifact, Prithvi, is deceptively powerful. Due to its overly accepting nature, when this Nazrin returned Shou's Jeweled Pagoda, it became imbued with the power of Shou's spear, which she had also lost. Goddess Prithvi may not be particularly well known, but she is a powerful goddess who supports Bishamonten. She is strong enough to lift the fully armored and notably heavy Tobatsu Bishamonten with her bare hands. In terms of sheer physical strength, she may even surpass Bishamonten himself. No one can truly say what Goddess Prithvi is thinking, but she seems willing to lend her strength to this Nazrin. After all, the faith placed in Byakuren, and in Shou Toramaru, the former mountain youkai tiger who responded to that faith, is genuine enough to be acknowledged by Bishamonten himself. No matter how much humans may persecute them, that remains a fact. True faith does not yield to doubt. It cannot be undermined.

Attacks

Silver Mice

The Spread Shot of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). She unleashes her minion mice in this attack. Her mice love cheese, but there is something they love even more. She has used it as a threat before. However, as someone affiliated with the temple, she probably won't mention it again.

Jeweled Mongoose

The Focus Shot of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). She unleashes a mongoose, who seems to be her minion, in this attack. Nazrin was briefly puzzled by the presence of a mongoose, but it looks similar enough to a mouse that she lets it slide. However, there's something about its scent that reminds her of Lord Bishamonten.

Perfect Search Sign: Gold Detector's Job Done

A Spell Card of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). She unleashes the attack she painstakingly developed during her search for the Jeweled Pagoda. Humans are as incomprehensible to youkai as youkai are to humans. No matter how many times they are defeated, they continue to challenge her. High in the sky, aboard the ship, and now over the skies of Makai. They persist despite being confined. Or perhaps it is that very confinement that fuels their resolve. Nazrin's keen mind finds this oddly troubling.

Jeweled Pagoda Transfer: Greatest Treasure Delivered

A Spell Card of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). She uses her own bullets to painstakingly recreate an attack she performed with the Jeweled Pagoda. Nazrin's glad that the humans continue to challenge her instead of fleeing, as losing fragments of the Flying Storehouse would be disastrous. If even a few fragments were missing, it would not be possible to remove the barrier. However, as long as the challenges continue, the battle will never truly end. Even if Nazrin and the other youkai win, they gain no real advantage, raising the unsettling question of what they are fighting for at all. All of the battles take place under the Spell Card Rules established by the sages of Gensokyo. Even if they don't want to follow those rules, battles of bullets inevitably conform to that structure. Nazrin can't help but dwell on what would happen if the humans stopped challenging her and abandoned the fight altogether.

Prithvi's Quiet, Unyielding Grasp

The Last Word of Nazrin from the world with a high-flying treasure ship (a Touhou LW original). She attacks with an enchanted artifact and silent prayers. Nazrin is not one to seek attention. Not because she is humble, but because she is a mouse. She prefers patiently repeating small, unassuming tasks, building them up until they eventually lead to significant results. That is precisely why her heart is set ablaze by the ambitions of the Palanquin Ship's crew. They've spent an age preparing for this, gathering countless fragments since the temple's destruction centuries ago. This was not an incident conceived on a whim. Nazrin's resolve is quiet, but unmistakably real. Reflected in her eyes is Shou Toramaru, on the verge of tears.
