Character Information

Temperament: Kinkan Kaiki Nisshoku
Kinkan Kaiki Nisshoku (a Touhou LW original) refers to a hybrid solar eclipse. This is an apt temperament for Seiga, the exceptionally wicked hermit. Seiga is endowed with the temperament of spirits (Water Phase), corpses (Earth Phase), and wicked hermits (Star Essence). The flexible and patient Water Phase resists Metal Phase, because metal collects water, but it is weak to Earth Phase, because earth directs water. The encompassing and regenerative Earth Phase resists Fire Phase, because fire produces earth, but it is weak to Wood Phase, because wood parts earth. The diverse and uncooperative Star Essence resists the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence, but it is weak to the charming and arrogant Sun Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of passing through walls (Prolonged)
The ability of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits (a Touhou LW original). There is no noticeable difference between her ability and the abilities of Seigas from other worlds. The 13th Prolonged Incident There might have been a time when Seiga, the wicked hermit, had a wish that she desperately wanted to come true. Miko's resurrection was meant to herald a new age. Her rule would change not only Japan but the world. This would allow Seiga to display her power more openly and further her research in the pursuit of even more power. However, Miko's resurrection was taking longer than she predicted. She would not allow that foolish youkai temple led by an evil overlord to ruin everything this late in the game. If she went all out, they wouldn't stand a chance. And, if needed, she could recruit some of the locals to become her hermit underlings. Once she amassed an army of spirits and corpses, no one would be able to oppose her. But why is Seiga so fixated on Miko? Seiga was born in an age long after Miko's reign had ended. She should've already been dead by the time Seiga crossed the sea to Japan. However, legends of Miko's virtues lived on, reflected in the country's prosperity. Hearing them might have inspired Seiga to try and meet her, thinking that Miko must have been much more impressive than anyone still living. The inconsistencies with this timeline could be explained if Seiga somehow found a way to pass through a wormhole, a hole through time and space. However, such a journey couldn't come without a cost. After all, if it were free, she'd use it all the time. So, what price did she pay? Tiger-Dragon Throne Seiga created this false artifact in a wanton act of sacrilege against the old gods by recycling the waste products from her experiments. Its original name was Subject 13, her 13th attempt to create a Yoshika. It is an amalgamation of souls bound to Seiga's will.

Attacks

Wicked Qigong

The Spread Shot of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits (a Touhou LW original). She uses wicked Taoist arts in this attack. Seiga Kaku loves power. She moved to another country because she wanted to live in a place where she could show off her power, and then she entered the service of Toyosatomimi no Miko, a powerful ruler. For those who believe there is more to life than power, Seiga's motivations may seem evil. However, Seiga has always remained true to herself, and she continues to act as she does because she has not come across anything that contradicts or disproves her worldview. It is easy to discredit her as a wicked hermit behind her back, but who would actually say that to her face?

Convoluted Path

The Focus Shot of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits (a Touhou LW original). She uses wicked hermit arts in this attack. Due to her infatuation with power, it was inevitable that Seiga would take an interest in Miko. Though often misunderstood, Seiga did not wish any harm upon Miko―she simply delighted in teaching her. Like a mother and a mentor, she shared her knowledge of Taoism with someone whom she believed would be forever held in reverence by the people of this island nation. This would greatly alter the course of the nation's future. In other words, she'd get to play with the spirit of a nation and the souls of all its people. What could be more fun than that?

Demonify: Zouhuo Rumo

A Spell Card of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits. She unleashes an unequivocally wicked attack. Miko was called Umayado no Ou, the Stable Door King, but who told Miko about the legend that inspired this title? This is mere speculation, but it could have been Hata no Kawakatsu. The Hata clan were migrants from overseas, so Kawakatsu probably knew of this legend. However, it's also possible that Seiga was the one who shared it with Miko.

Path Sign: Tao Fetal Movement

A Spell Card of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits. She unleashes an unequivocally wicked attack. Seiga lived in China around the time when missionaries began spreading the religion known as Jingjiao, the Luminous Religion. It originated from far to the west, beyond the land of Persia. Seiga cares much more about the practical benefits of religion than the spiritual, so it's likely that she studied the teachings of Jingjiao much more thoroughly than the other hermits and scholars of the time. That is probably where she learned the tale of a divine man born in a stable who died and was resurrected... Seiga is also known to have caused trouble in Gensokyo when she emulated a mysterious entity that sneaks into homes at night during winter. It's possible that she learned of that from these same teachings.

Tiger-Dragon Throne, the Writhing Divine Womb

The Last Word of Seiga Kaku from the world drowning in divine spirits (a Touhou LW original). She attacks with her false artifact. Unlike Futo, it is believed that Seiga did not join Miko in her mausoleum and instead continued to live in the outside world. But what did she do during the many centuries that followed? There is no mention of this in the currently available true data, but from what is known, it can be inferred that she spent this time studying and experimenting with souls and corpses. Her motives can also be deduced. Seiga loves power and the powerful, yet when a mortal dies, this power is lost, so it wouldn't be at all surprising if she studied souls in an attempt to overcome this obstacle. And when she succeeds, she will humble the old gods, whom she surely despises for monopolizing power with their absurd and heavy-handed logic. Even now, after many lessons learned, countless failures, and scant few successful test subjects, she continues her solitary research.
