Character Information

Temperament: Kaifuu Junkan
Kaifuu Junkan (a Touhou LW original) refers to the daily cycle of sea and land breezes caused by the differences in air pressure above water and dry land. This is an apt temperament for Tewi, who stomped on too many sharks. Tewi is endowed with the temperament of good luck (Wood Phase), freedom (Star Essence), and powerful Moon magic (Moon Essence). The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood. The diverse and uncooperative Star Essence resists the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence, but it is weak to the charming and arrogant Sun Essence. The cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence resists the alluring and arrogant Sun Essence, but it is weak to the diverse and uncooperative Star Essence. The combination of Star Essence and Moon Essence cancels out any resistance or weakness to Sun Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of conferring good luck to humans (Prolonged)
The ability of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). There is no noticeable difference between her ability and the abilities of Tewis from other worlds. The 8th Prolonged Incident is the prolonged version of the Eternal Night Incident. Ordinarily, Tewi wouldn't have had much reason to get involved. She might choose to help Reisen out of sympathy, but that's about it. And even that reason doesn't hold much weight, given that she only met Reisen recently compared to the many centuries she has lived. Since she doesn't have much reason to get involved in the incident, you'd assume she wouldn't have any reason to prolong it, either. But what if she prevented the incident from being resolved, not to help the other residents of Eientei, but to sabotage them? Resolving this incident means dispelling the fake Moon conjured by Eirin. However, when this was done in other worlds, it worked out well for Eirin, Kaguya, and Reisen, since Gensokyo's systems ended up protecting them from the Lunar Capital. What if Tewi foresaw this and prevented the incident's resolution precisely because she wanted the Lunar Capital to interfere, essentially leading to a civil war between Lunarians? Then again, for that to happen, the Lunar Capital would have to possess a means to bypass the security measures of both Gensokyo and Eientei, which seems like a much more difficult proposition...

Attacks

Special Bunny Fairy Squad - Assault

The Spread Shot of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). She commands fairies disguised as rabbits to attack. According to the true data, Tewi did not say anything during the Eternal Night Incident, or if she did, those records have not yet been found. This means she probably got involved with the incident while maintaining her silence, just like all the fairies do. But why is that?

Special Bunny Fairy Squad - Annihilation

The Focus Shot of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). She commands fairies disguised as rabbits to attack. Tewi probably had a reason for remaining silent during the incident. You might think, with the Lunarians running things, that she wasn't entitled to say anything, but there's another, more likely, possibility: she thought the incident was beneath her. Tewi is supremely self-confident. While she lives at Eientei with Eirin, Kaguya, and Reisen, she doesn't owe them anything. If push comes to shove, she'd be fine living with just the other earth rabbits again. If anything, it's the Lunarians who owe her for letting them live there.

Rabbit Sign: Shark Head Crusher

A Spell Card of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). She attacks while counting sharks. This is all speculation based on information in the false data, but, apparently, there used to be a kingdom called Usa. While it later became part of a bigger kingdom called Toyo, the people of Usa were proud of their culture and their ancient lineage. They identified themselves as the people who worshipped the Moon, and their totem was a rabbit hopping toward it. If visitors to their lands looked down on them and their culture, they would not be welcome, and conflict would inevitably arise. One such group of haughty, arrogant outsiders was the Wani, which is also an old Japanese word for "shark."

Rabbit Sign: Red-White Pretender

A Spell Card of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). She recalls duping some sharks and getting skinned by them in payback. Tewi never speaks of it, and there is no explicit evidence in the true data, but it seems almost certain that she has existed for an incredibly long time. Assuming she is one of the remaining people of Usa, and the Wani were one of the peoples that later became the Lunarians, what must she have felt when she witnessed her ancestral enemies ascend to the Moon?

Immigrant Super Duper

The Last Word of Tewi Inaba from the world of ever-eternal night (a Touhou LW original). She recalls the Age of the Gods in this attack. There is no such thing as a "true" history. Events are buried beneath the earth in real time and are broken down by acids, alkalis, and detritus. The past cannot even be imagined unless it's through an interpretation. You might think that long-lived youkai could maintain clear memories of long-ago events, but that isn't necessarily the case. Memorizing something has the same effect as burying something beneath layers of earth. Even if multiple youkai witnessed the same event, they would all retell it differently, and these differences would only be exacerbated over time. Tewi is a prankster, a swindler from the Age of the Gods. She doesn't go out of her way to trick people―that's just what happens. However, Tewi actually likes this about herself. Believing you can speak the truth is a trap built of self-deception, and Tewi is proud that she hasn't fallen for it.
