Diamond Dust! (a Touhou LW original) refers to tiny ice crystals. Yukkuri Cirno loves diamond dust because the name sounds cool. Apparently, just saying the word "diamond" makes her feel strong. Yukkuri Cirno is endowed with Water Phase as a yukkuri ice spirit and Star Essence because she's a capricious yukkuri fairy.
The flexible and patient Water Phase resists Metal Phase, because metal collects water, but it is weak to Earth Phase, because earth directs water.
The diverse and uncooperative Star Essence resists the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence, but it is weak to the charming and arrogant Sun Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of taking it easy
Yukkuri Cirno's ability (a Touhou LW original). The "capable of taking it easy" ability held by yukkuris incorporates a toned-down version of their Yukkuri Master's signature ability. This means that Yukkuri Cirno is also capable of slowly manipulating cold. Sudden temperature changes are easy to detect, but it might already be too late by the time Yukkuri Cirno's targets realize that she's ever-so-slowly been freezing them. Reducing the temperature in small increments isn't flashy, but it has the power to cause an ice age. Considering this, it makes sense that Yukkuri Cirno calls herself the strongest.
