Character Information

Temperament: Taiyou Arashi
Taiyou Arashi (a Touhou LW original) refers to solar storms, which are particularly intense and destructive solar winds. Reisen's temperament is solely resistant to impurities. (Strong against Earth Phase.)
Ability/Backstory: Capable of manipulating madness (Hidden)
The ability of Reisen Udongein Inaba (B1) from Multiverse Trail 1 (a Touhou LW original). Her ability doesn't appear to be any different from usual. However, in this world, her fate is set. Instead of fleeing to the Earth, she continues to fight on the Moon, securing victory after victory. This B1 Reisen's fate led her down a road of increasingly escalating missions against the kaiju. She was trapped in a corner with no way out, so she was deemed to have perished. Her fate was recorded in the Multiverse Trail, just as lost things end up in Gensokyo. The following is a report not found in the Peace Temple's archives. It was salvaged from a scrap of her red suit's built-in recorder that had somehow avoided being reduced to atoms. "A kaiju?" The destruction of the vassal world had already begun. It no longer resembled a place where people could live. The earth was rent asunder, with chunks of the planet's crust floating in the air. The sky was spinning so fast that it was separating under centrifugal force. It wouldn't be long until everything broke down at the molecular, no, subatomic level and disappeared entirely. That was the entire point. That was the mission Reisen had been given. "Is that what you truly believe, Chang'e's rabbit?" Reisen could have just ignored her. She could have simply left and completed her mission. But she couldn't take her eyes off her. It was like her legs had been turned to stone. But it wasn't fear that held her there. "Me? A fake kaiju? What a terrible joke. You lot don't exterminate us because we're kaiju. You call us kaiju because you want to exterminate us. It's a trick as old as time. I doubt I have to explain it to you." "Shut up." Reisen pointed her gun at her. But she didn't pull the trigger. She could've. That would've been easier. She didn't have to talk to her to complete her mission. "No, I won't shut up. If you want me to be quiet, then shoot me. I'll say what I want to say when I want to say it. This isn't a conscious choice, mind you. This is simply my nature as a being of purified resentment. I say what I say, and I hate what I hate. I'm not like your Capital, which has been warped by all the arbitrary rules seeking to regulate it. We're different, so conflict was inevitable. You have two options: either erase me or forgive me." "Shut up!" All Reisen could do was scream. The Capital must've known what she would find here. There's no way Lady Yagokoro, Lady Kaguya, and the Watatsuki sisters hadn't predicted this. If this satellite were left alone, someone was bound to think of crashing it into the Capital sooner or later. So why did they only order Reisen to purge it now? Was there some advantage to be had in letting it fester, even though the Capital has enough power to crush all who oppose them? Then again, it's not like they're using that power now either. They simply sent Reisen and the other moon rabbits on a mission that might not even succeed... "Don't worry. The eyes of the Capital cannot see you here. Though Chang'e is probably still watching." "..." "Fine. Then I'll say what you're too scared to." "W-Wait―" "The Capital turned a blind eye to this place until now because doing so was beneficial to them. Think about it. Erasing this satellite would lessen the number of threats capable of attacking the Capital. That could only end badly for them." "Huh? Eliminating threats is... bad?" "Why would you assume that it's good?" "..." Reisen had always had her suspicions, but that's when it finally hit her. She felt ashamed of how naive she'd been. Not once did she stop to check if the info she had been given was true. She simply believed what she was told, what everyone else was saying... "You're trapped in a cage." The defenseless rabbit was entranced by the pure black light emanating from the individual before her. "A cage―that's all the Capital has given you." A cage trapping her body and mind. A cage that she can never escape, that she would never even think to escape... A prison called paradise. "I'll set you free."

That there was no longer a point in wishing or dreaming for something better. I was a fool. Who'd have thought that there was still a tiny glimmer of hope hidden deep within my heart?"

Medal Holder

The Focus Shot of Reisen Udongein Inaba (B1) from Multiverse Trail 1 (a Touhou LW original). The Capital's ace displays her well-honed skills in this attack. Defending the Capital is this Reisen's duty. It is believed that she participated in operations against Earth, but she probably didn't descend down there and fight. If she had, she would surely have been ostracized by her fellow rabbits and the Lunarians as an impure being. She was originally named Reisen by the Watatsuki sisters, but nowadays she goes by her full name, Reisen Udongein Inaba. Udongein was given to her by Eirin, and Kaguya called her Inaba. This matches what happened to Reisens in other worlds, but due to a lack of reliable reports, it isn't exactly clear what path this Reisen followed to attain this fate.

Ace: Lightning Rabbit

A Spell Card of Reisen Udongein Inaba (B1) from Multiverse Trail 1 (a Touhou LW original). The Capital's ace displays her tactical acumen in this attack. Since being instated as the captain responsible for commanding the moon rabbit defense of the Capital, the priorities of Reisen's superiors gradually began to shift, demanding that she become a specialist kaiju-exterminator. Kaiju stand out on the battlefield, so those who manage to slay them tend to be idolized by the other moon rabbits. This never sat well with Reisen.

Ace: High Scorer

A Spell Card of Reisen Udongein Inaba (B1) from Multiverse Trail 1 (a Touhou LW original). The Capital's ace displays her tactical efficiency in this attack. Whenever kaiju appeared, Reisen was the one sent out to exterminate them. Because Reisen would always succeed. She exterminated kaiju the fastest and kept losses to a minimum. The kaiju continued to fear her; the Capital's citizens celebrated; her squad members breathed a sigh of relief; her superiors laughed behind her back; and those seeking their own fame and glory became even more jealous. But after a while, Reisen grew detached from it all. She didn't feel anything anymore, not even pain.

Lunatic Crimson Eyes

The Last Word of Reisen Udongein Inaba (B1) from Multiverse Trail 1 (a Touhou LW original). The Capital's ace unleashes a battle-crazed attack. The Capital's vassal worlds are also called satellites because they appear as asteroids floating in the Lagrange points. In truth, they are worlds held in place according to the Capital's Otherworld Subjugation Plan. This Reisen was ordered to "purge" the satellite the kaiju were using as their base of operations. "Purge" was the term that the Capital used, but what they really meant was total annihilation, complete purification at the atomic level. The Capital had long suspected that the kaiju were there, so why did they wait so long to order the purge? Because the satellite had escaped its Lagrange point. It was on a collision course with the Capital. This was the beginning of Reisen's final mission.
