The Spread Shot of Ran Yakumo from the world obsessed with healers (a Touhou LW original). She attempts to treat a patient using her shikigami. "Why am I working at Eientei?" Ran Yakumo couldn't understand it. She had only visited Eientei to purchase some medicine, so why was she wearing a nurse uniform and treating patients? It didn't make any sense.
The Focus Shot of Ran Yakumo from the world obsessed with healers (a Touhou LW original). She attempts to treat a patient using her shikigami. Ran has a steady hand and a keen mind, so the work itself wasn't really a problem. This was helped by the fact that most of the patients from the village, particularly the elderly, were in remarkably good health. It seemed like they just came to Eientei to chat. In all her time as a nurse, she hadn't witnessed a single medical emergency, which made this whole situation all the more confusing.
A Spell Card of Ran Yakumo from the world obsessed with healers (a Touhou LW original). She performs possession therapy on her patients. The clever Ran had an epiphany. Yukari must've set her up. Yukari Yakumo is the Youkai Sage who watches over Gensokyo, and Eirin Yagokoro, the de facto boss of Eientei, was, until recently, the chief advisor of Tsukuyomi, the lord of the Lunar Capital. Eirin, of her own initiative, provided the tools or information needed to resolve several incidents, saving Yukari a lot of hassle. And even though Eirin seems to be the older of the two, she has deferred to Yukari on a number of matters. Could it be that they're actually really good friends who greatly respect each other?! "No. There's no way that's true."
A Spell Card of Ran Yakumo from the world obsessed with healers (a Touhou LW original). She performs possession therapy on her patients. Powerful beings tend not to talk directly with other powerful beings. This applies to humans, youkai, and gods. So how do they communicate? Through intermediaries, of course. After Ran got used to working as a nurse at Eientei, she realized that's what she was―an intermediary between Yukari and Eirin. But she still didn't understand why.
The Last Word of Ran Yakumo from the world obsessed with healers (a Touhou LW original). She replicates an ancient form of possession. Illness is essentially caused by an imbalance in temperament. And since in this world, the seasons have stopped turning, it's only natural that everyone's temperament is out of whack. Ran thought this mysterious phenomenon might even be affecting the health of people in the Lunar Capital. However, it's not like she could go and check, and even if she asked, they probably wouldn't tell her... "Yes, that's exactly what's happening, Ran Yakumo." Contrary to her expectations, Eirin Yagokoro didn't even try to hide it. Perhaps she thought there wasn't much point considering her fellow Lunar Sage, Sagume Kishin, had been causing quite a scene in Eientei lately with her clumsy attempts to treat patients. However, while Eirin did admit there was a problem, she didn't ask for Ran's help to resolve it. She's a professional doctor, so perhaps she had everything in hand. Ran turned to Yachie Kicchou, who was standing beside her. Yachie also seemed lost in thought. Or maybe she was simply feeling low on energy due to her low blood pressure and low body temperature. Ran had worked with Yachie before, back when she was still living in the Animal Realm. They took down a mysterious hacker together. It almost felt like a joke to see that conniving jidiao dressed up as a nurse... That's when it clicked. The fact that Yachie was here must mean that whatever's going on is also affecting the Animal Realm. Ran finally understood why she was working as a nurse at Eientei―Yukari must've sent her there to gather intel! Though it's possible she was just jumping to conclusions again...
They don't just protect her eyes. They also make her look smarter.
She ties her patients down to stop them from hurting themselves... and so they can't escape.
While it's not unusual for youkai to have wings, there aren't many winged youkai foxes. Probably because they can fly just as well without them.
