Chimney Effect (a Touhou LW original) refers to the phenomenon in which the temperature difference between the inside and outside of tall buildings can cause strong gusts of wind to rise up through them. This is an apt temperament for Hisami, the yomotsu-shikome who suffers from self-induced heartbreak during the time between summer and autumn.

The ability of Hisami Yomotsu from the world obsessed with escaping the heat (a Touhou LW original). It doesn't appear to be any different from Hisami's original ability.
This world is trapped between summer and autumn, where it's always hot, but not sweltering. But Hisami doesn't care about any of that. She single-mindedly follows any and all traces of Zanmu Nippaku, and when she gets close, she steps back to watch over her from an unobtrusive distance. That is her purpose, her sole reason for living. It sounds like a bad joke, but that's what makes it so terrifying.
There are basically two types of organizations in Hell. Those managed by the Yama to collectively administer the Ministry of Right and Wrong's justice, and local organizations led by independent authorities such as oni, kishin, or gods that govern their own corners of Hell. However, Hisami's position is a mix of the two. She acts as both a tour guide and a prisoner escort officer as she guides the dead to their intended destinations, while also preventing them from wandering around Hell wherever they please... Though she doesn't always take her job as seriously as she perhaps should.
Late summer is Bon Festival season, a time when swarms of spirits travel between the land of the living and the land of the dead. This should be the busiest time of year for Hisami. So, you'd think she'd be hard at work...
But Hisami was in a panic. She had never gone this long without seeing her beloved Lady Zanmu before. Ten minutes had passed... Ten minutes and five seconds... Ten minutes, five seconds, and twenty-five milliseconds... She couldn't take it anymore! She had to find her!
Hisami soon learned that, unbeknownst to her, Zanmu had gone on a hot spring vacation. She couldn't believe it. Not that Zanmu didn't invite her, or that she left without saying a word―that was normal. Hisami was shocked at her own ineptitude. How could she not have known that Lady Zanmu had left Hell?! However, one of the many terrifying things about Hisami is that she always bounces back. She took this to mean that she could still love Lady Zanmu even more.
"I'm sure you'll find her soon, Miss Hisami."
"You say that, but I've already lost count of how many times we've looped around these food stalls."
Why was Yuyuko with her? Hisami didn't even question it. All her thoughts were occupied by Lady Zanmu. Nothing else mattered. It would probably have been quicker if she simply asked Yuyuko where Zanmu was, but there is no shortcut on her Hellish road to love.
