Character Information

Temperament: Hanei Gesshoku
Hanei Gesshoku (a Touhou LW original) refers to a penumbral lunar eclipse, where the Moon is either partially or fully within the Earth's penumbra. This is an apt temperament for this world's Yoshika, who graciously provides an exquisite dining experience for those who care for her. "The heat's always on max. Is there any other option?" (Strong against Fire Phase.) "Haven't you heard of the three-second rule? Every chef knows it." (Strong against Earth Phase.) "Seigaaaa. How come you always have something urgent to attend to when it's time for dinner? For once, I'd like us to sit at the same table and eat my cooking together." (Weak to Water Phase)
Ability/Backstory: Capable of eating anything (When she bites humans, they temporarily become jiang shi.) (Sweet)
The ability of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). This ability appears almost identical to the Yoshika from our world's ability. However, in this world, battles of bullets are made even more interesting with maids and Maid CQC. It seems this Yoshika has devoted her ability to this unique fighting style. In this world, it is always the end of winter. When winter changes to spring, intruders are expelled from the home, and thanks are given to loved ones. However, a certain wicked hermit knows that one of these traditions comes from the legend of a saint and martyr who married young couples. This wicked hermit is very knowledgeable. She also knows about Christmas, and presumably, the religion behind its traditions... Perhaps she really is a super hermit from the Tang dynasty (618-907), who traveled back in time to advise Prince Shoutoku. Most likely, she was the one who told Prince Shoutoku about the saint born in a stable. Assyrian Christian missionaries visited China during the Tang dynasty, and many legends about the saints were already established by then. However, it is unclear to what extent this form of Christianity, known as Jingjiao in Chinese, differs from that of other denominations. More research is needed. Can a maid, who only does what she's told, be considered an excellent maid? It is a mark of high intelligence to comprehend more than what is said, but this knowledge isn't born from nothing. It should be inferred from all the other things heard previously. Spontaneity is not a virtue. Proper obedience must be predictable. The best maids follow their orders to the letter. Seiga writes her orders on a strip of paper called an ofuda and sticks it to Yoshika's forehead. Yoshika reads these orders and acts accordingly. This makes Yoshika a kind of finite-state automaton. If Yoshika does not act as Seiga intended, it is not Yoshika's fault. Seiga's orders must have been wrong. To fix this, all Seiga needs to do is either make her orders less ambiguous or eliminate bugs that prevented Yoshika from carrying them out. It's clear who's responsible, so improvements can definitely be made. (Conversely, when it's unclear who's responsible for what, making any progress or improvements is incredibly difficult.) The servant bears no responsibility. The master bears it all. This is not a matter of showmanship but of efficiency. Yoshika acts according to Seiga's orders; she produces the results specified by those orders; she laughs as ordered; and she expresses joy as ordered. So, Seiga concluded that the "food" Yoshika served must all be in accordance with her orders, too. It was the wording of her orders that caused this to happen. However, like a baby learning to walk, each failure is a step forward on the path to success. Yoshika's failures are the only thing Seiga does not intend. That's why she loves them. You could say that Yoshika only exists in her failures. Yoshika's Secret Maid Technique All maids have a latent secret maid technique, but they can only use it once it has been awakened. Sometimes, maids without an awakened technique aren't even considered true maids. Maids are a species of killers, and what defines a maid can be rather strict. Yoshika's secret maid technique lets her provide the ultimate dining experience as a waiter. It definitely doesn't help her with cooking, but since Yoshika tends to power through things to attain the required result, if there is no food to serve, she will acquire some by any means necessary. This could occur if she's in an extreme environment, such as one with extreme cold, heat, aridity, or pressure. Or if there's toxic gas, radiation, or a lack of gravity. Or if she's in a vacuum. She's unlikely to find a pre-cooked meal or even the ingredients to make one in a place like that. But don't worry. As long as she has someone to serve, she'll always have one ingredient. Yoshika's Maid Tools She has a serrated katana of unknown make and a revolver, which is probably just a replica. She found them somewhere. Seiga, her master, doesn't really care what tools she uses, and with Yoshika's undying determination, she can pretty much use anything to get the job done. If her katana breaks, she can just find a new one, or, if that's not possible, she can do without it. She also doesn't need the revolver since it is just a support item for battles of bullets. Perhaps Yoshika carries her maid katana around because it's tradition for maids to have seven tools. Or maybe it's just because it looks cool. But where did she get the revolver? It might be worth a fortune if it's the real deal. She also carries a silver cloche, which she uses to perform her secret maid technique. It preserves the dish's temperature along with the all-important smell.

Attacks

Death Slash

The Spread Shot of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). She serves food with her katana. "Seigaaaa? What'd you fix this time?" "Don't worry about it... There. All done." "Hm?" Yoshika literally held her head in her hands, but she couldn't really tell if anything had changed. Everything seemed the same... apart from the ofuda, the strip of paper hanging before her eyes. The instructions written on it were different. "Now you should be able to play with all the other maids again." Yoshika tilted her head in confusion.

Death Shot

The Focus Shot of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). She serves food with her revolver. The following explanation was written on Yoshika's ofuda: "Each maid has their own unique, certain-kill housework skill. However, they must awaken this skill before they're able to use it. Awakened skills are known as secret maid techniques. Maids without these techniques struggle to perform modern Maid CQC. In other words, they can't play with the other maids." But Yoshika didn't really care about playing with other maids. She just wanted to make Seiga happy.

Maid CQC: Zombie Katana

A Spell Card of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). She performs Maid CQC with her katana. "People don't only think with their brains. If they did, I wouldn't be able to think at all. 'Cause my brain has rotted away. You probably think I'm just an automaton of flesh and bone, mindlessly following the instructions written on my ofuda. But if you ask me, I think you're deluding yourself. Every living creature is an automaton of some degree. I'm just simpler and more honest. Anyway, I was talking about where our thoughts reside. Considering how rotten I am, I doubt it's in the collective data of our cells."

Maid CQC: Desire-Eater Bullets

A Spell Card of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). She performs Maid CQC with her revolver. "Am I really Yoshika Miyako? Does this body, that I recognize as my own, move according to my will? Or is it merely following the instructions that Seiga wrote on my ofuda? That would mean this body, and by extension Yoshika, isn't me. It would be nothing but a pitiful, moving corpse. So then... who am I? And why do I exist? Do philosophical zombies possess a sense of self?"

Undying Maid's Unaliving Service

The Last Word of Yoshika Miyako from the world obsessed with sweets (a Touhou LW original). She uses her secret maid technique to provide the ultimate dining experience. "Hmm... What a magnificent failure!" Yoshika, the corpse, was suddenly able to use a secret maid technique. With it, she cooked a dish that was utterly horrifying in every way: the smell, the taste, it even looked scary. The super sketchy Seiga Kaku must have messed with something to awaken her technique. The corpse happily served the dish, the culmination of all her efforts, to her master as if she were some kind of waiter in a fancy restaurant. Well, I say "happily," but who knows what she actually felt. I am the consciousness dwelling within Yoshika, so I cannot perceive her emotions. No, that isn't quite right. She doesn't have any emotions. I sit in the seat where consciousness should be―undeniable proof that her consciousness no longer exists. I only said "happily" because of the smile formed by the stiffening of her facial muscles. A dead maid and a necromancer master. I've been given a front-row seat to the play revolving around their twisted master-servant relationship. It has nothing to do with me. I am an outsider, merely a witness to the story that unfolds beyond my reach. Not that I'm jealous or anything. "It's a failure, but that's what makes you so adorable, Yoshika." All that matters is that they're happy.
