Face Behind the Masks
The usual outfit of Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy. Emotionless is just another kind of emotion.

The Spread Shot of Hata no Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy (a Touhou LW original). She strikes down her foes with her favorite halberd in this attack. Kokoro trains every day to try and understand emotions. She's making progress, but there's no end in sight, as there are always new emotions to learn. She doesn't feel like she understands the whole "bad girl" mindset yet.
The Focus Shot of Hata no Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy (a Touhou LW original). She observes her targets through her favorite Venetian half mask in this attack. She still can't quite understand what it really means to be a bad girl. What makes someone bad? Why do they act that way? Until she figures that out, she can't truly make it part of herself. But maybe she's starting to get it. Everyone praised her, saying she was a good girl, for trying to learn emotions. So maybe to be bad, she just has to do the exact opposite?
A Spell Card of Hata no Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy (a Touhou LW original). She pretends to be consumed by darkness in this attack. Kokoro tries to forget everything she's learned about emotions. She suppresses her feelings and makes them impossible to read because that's what a bad girl would probably do. If people call her rude or insincere, that means she's doing it right. So she tried imitating the villains she'd read about, but she's still not entirely sure she's doing it right.
A Spell Card of Hata no Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy (a Touhou LW original). She pretends to be evil in this attack. She feels like she's spent ages studying emotions, but the emotion of being emotionless still doesn't make sense to her. Is it even possible to truly feel nothing? Maybe it's hard for her precisely because she's so full of feelings. Or maybe that's just how it is for everyone. But if that's the case, why does the word emotionless even exist?
The Last Word of Hata no Kokoro from the world obsessed with pretend villainy (a Touhou LW original). She pretends to be a villain in this attack. While studying what it means to be a "bad girl," Hata no Kokoro ran into a mysterious girl. Nothing she said made any sense, but she was clearly traveling in search of something important. What really caught Kokoro's attention was that the girl looked exactly like her... except she wore sleek, dark clothes that screamed "cool villain." That's when Kokoro realized that maybe she could pull off that kind of look too! After all, she'd learned that sometimes changing the outside helps shape what's inside. From the moment she saw her, she dreamed of wearing an outfit just like that. "I already possess your emotions," the girl said. "You've got nothing worth taking, so I'll let you go." Kokoro couldn't tell if she was trying to insult her. Before she could decide, the girl added, "It would've been better for you if there was still something left for me to steal." But, well, she looked so stylish and cool that Kokoro couldn't stay mad at her. Emotions are complex. Anger doesn't always come when it should. Sometimes you forgive, sometimes you forget, and sometimes you simply don't care. Was that it? Was this what being emotionless felt like? She thought she understood for a moment, but as the girl vanished, her newfound clarity vanished with her. Something faint stayed behind, though. Like a seed of emotion, buried deep inside her heart. Emotion... or rather, the emotion of being emotionless. Whatever it was, Kokoro still didn't get it.
A half mask can't fully conceal one's expressions, nor can it convey them.
When might triumphs over right, reason no longer applies. To make it all work out, one must first carve a path.
A true villain isn't shackled by good or evil. But then again, what even is good and evil?
