Character Information

Temperament: Mufuu
Mufuu (a Touhou LW original) refers to the absence of wind or complete peace devoid of any disturbances. Calm weather temperaments that quell the wind to safeguard the land are synonymous with Sanae, no matter what world she comes from. She inherited her sacred position as wind priestess from her earliest ancestors. The unbroken path of her bloodline forms a grand ritual that goes far beyond Sanae herself. Sanae is endowed with Wood Phase due to her free spirit, which rejects common sense, and Star Essence because she won't let anyone hold her back. The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood. The diverse and uncooperative Star Essence resists the cooperative and indecisive Moon Essence, but it is weak to the charming and arrogant Sun Essence.
Ability/Backstory: Capable of causing miracles?
The ability of Sanae Kochiya (F1) from Memory Fragment 5 (a Touhou LW original). There are many mysteries regarding the differences between this Sanae and the others because the path this Sanae has traveled is so obscure. The ability to travel between worlds belongs to dragons. For other people to obtain this ability, they must pass the Interworld Traveler Trial. However, there are other ways to travel to parallel worlds without using an ability. Those who travel to other worlds, regardless of whether they have this ability or not, are sometimes called interworld travelers, though that name is usually used to refer to this Sanae and her allies. The following is a report written by a human wind priestess with a hole in her heart. I breathed heavily, struggling to catch my breath. By some weird twist of fate, I ended up in the same pose as when I fell, but this time, I somehow managed to land safely. I love this world, Gensokyo, and Moriya Shrine, and to protect them, I must travel to parallel worlds. It's completely different from taking a trip down to Hell or up to the far side of the Moon. There are infinite multiverses that contain infinite parallel worlds. Checking the scientific news that seeps into Gensokyo from the outside world, it seems a new space telescope was made, leading to many new discoveries about the cosmos. Apparently, our universe might extend endlessly without any beginning or end, revitalizing debate about theories that hadn't been considered since the time of ancient Greece. A new perspective can completely change the scientific landscape. This gives me hope that exploring what-if worlds might actually play out like those movies and games I enjoyed as a kid, and let me save my world and the people dearest to me. Science is indistinguishable from magic, and theories are indistinguishable from miracles. Before I even knew what was happening, I had to travel to another world. But I failed. Alone, spread out on the ground beneath one of the Youkai Mountain's cliffs, I gazed up at the sky and laughed at my own stupidity. I slipped when I tried to cross the boundary between worlds and fell into the abyss. I'm guessing I tumbled toward an extra dimension. That's why even though I should be able to fly, I dropped like a feather in a vacuum. It was all like, "Houston, we have a problem." Hahaha... This is where I landed. It really hurt... No, that's the understatement of the century. I don't really want to think about it too much, so I'll just record here that I'm lucky I didn't land in pieces. I almost died. Turns out that when a soft and vulnerable human body falls from a height, it doesn't always land on a soft cushion. Sometimes it lands on things that are hard and sharp. Uhhh, that's when my heart... Yeah. Lady Kanako and Lady Suwako fixed the hole in me. After that, I rested and waited for my wounds to heal. With my world threatened by the Lost Word Incident, I should've already been traveling to other worlds, but I couldn't do anything but hide and wait. I felt completely drained of divine power during this time. I couldn't even get up, let alone cause a miracle to heal my wounds or ease my pain. That's because Lady Kanako and Lady Suwako were no longer with me. But I wasn't alone. Two snake spirits appeared as if to give me something to remember them by. I named them Kanako and Suwako, and they were a great comfort. My friends, Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Youmu, and Reisen, also came to visit and wrote messages on my cast. They even helped me eat and fussed over me! I'm super thankful! After completing my rehabilitation, which was pretty normal all things considered, I was full of energy! I could now travel to other worlds, so I gave it a go. But by some weird twist of fate, when I got back, I ended up here, in the same place and same pose as when I fell. By sacrificing what was dear to me, I met the conditions required to pass the Interworld Traveler Trial. I sacrificed... Lady Kanako and Lady Suwako.
