Teenage Tortoise
Yachie's outfit as a thief with devious schemes. If you let her glasses distract you, you won't notice the bazooka.

Yachie's Fantasy Rebirth outfit. It was fashioned at Kourindou based on information in the journal.
World's Most Beautiful Shell

Kisen (a Touhou LW original) refers to a storm caused by a tropical or extratropical cyclone, especially in the Indian Ocean. This is an apt temperament for Yachie, who uses ingenuity to live in the dog-eat-dog world of the Animal Realm. Dwellers of the Animal Realm seem to lack the three Essences because this chaotic realm is far from Heaven. Yachie is endowed with Wood Phase, with her physical flexibility, and Water Phase, with her flexible thinking. The strong and kind Wood Phase resists Water Phase, because water nourishes wood, but it is weak to Metal Phase, because metal carves wood. The flexible and patient Water Phase resists Metal Phase, because metal collects water, but it is weak to Earth Phase, because earth directs water. The combination of Wood Phase and Water Phase cancels out any resistance or weakness to Metal Phase.
It is unknown if Yachie Kicchou's ability comes from her being the head of the Kiketsu Family or from her being a jidiao, a mysterious and mythical beast. It is believed that Yachie used her ability to send Reimu and her friends to the Animal Realm during the incident when the animal spirits invaded. Using this ability seems to motivate people to do as Yachie wishes, even if she is caught lying. As one can imagine, it is a very powerful ability and does not seem to be easy to counteract. However, if her ability was perfect, she would not be in conflict with the Keiga Family, the Gouyoku Alliance, or the Primate Spirit Garden. If she could have used her ability to put everyone under her control, she probably would have done so already. Perhaps the ability is less effective against people like Saki, who always act before thinking. Maybe Keiki also prepared inanimate and loyal haniwa soldiers like Mayumi as a countermeasure.
Yachie Kicchou's Spread Shot (a Touhou LW original). In this attack, she creates a shockwave by whipping her tail. Her tail appears to be a dragon tail. It is nearly impossible to assault her from behind.
Yachie Kicchou's Focus Shot (a Touhou LW original). In this attack, she shoots bullets and follows up with a ram with her shell. There's nothing you can do if she hides inside her shell while rushing toward you...! What an unfair... yet clever way to attack!
Yachie Kicchou's Spell Card. She shoots lasers in a tortoiseshell pattern in this attack. This Spell Card has become even more powerful with the help of the otter spirits. The tortoiseshell pattern looks like a hard-to-escape net that entangles the enemy. There was an ancient fortune-telling method in Japan called kiboku that used tortoiseshell. The shell was heated, and the fortune was gleaned by analyzing where the shell split. Jidiao, or dragon turtles, might have an affinity with fortune telling because the first character of their name means "good luck."
Yachie Kicchou's Spell Card. In this attack, she shoots bullets in patterns that look like dragon crests. The accompanying otter spirits also join in, making this attack more powerful. The spinning, expanding, and contracting circles of the scale bullets look like the figure of a dragon chasing its own tail. Out of the many family crests with dragon motifs, one type depicts a dragon curled around the center, called a "dragon circle." Come to think of it, the design of a dragon serpent eating its own tail has an occult meaning.
Yachie Kicchou's Last Word (a Touhou LW original). Relentless bullets assault the foe. Four elite otter spirits come together and carry out a highly coordinated plan. This kind of assault and trickery seems to be a common practice of the Kiketsu Family. The mysterious capsule shot at the end of the attack is a hazardous prototype substance of an unknown source. Perhaps they hid it in the sewers beneath the Animal Realm Metropolis.
The usual strategy of the Kiketsu Family. But if they attack head-on... well, you could say that's also a plan.
Yachie's magnificent tortoiseshell. The tortoiseshell is a part of her body.
It is said that dragons lay two eggs, and a jidiao hatches from one of them. Does that mean Yachie has a twin sister? It is a mystery...
