I'm Parsee Mizuhashi. As the youkai of envy, I offer you a warning. In the near future, you'll face calamity and trials.
Introduction
At last, I can hear you. Let the words spill out. I'm Parsee Mizuhashi. Even if you forget, I remember. Your unhappiness is an act. In truth, you're more blessed than anyone. I didn't understand that back then, but now I do. Behind the safety of a perfect barrier, with fingers unscarred, you manipulated people by bestowing miracles upon those who pray... No, I-I'm sorry. Let's stop there. It's also true that your light led me back here. You're not that yet. This is a story of the future...
Purple Heart
You can be... surprisingly bad, huh?
Blue Heart
Do you realize you're not a normal human?
Green Heart
I already know where your kindness comes from. All that's left is for you to figure it out. When it comes to sensing envy in a person's heart, I surpass even Satori.
Orange Heart
I don't want to sew your mouth shut anymore. I want to draw out more words from deep within your throat. Don't get confused. I'm not doing this out of spite. This is for your sake. And mine.
Pink Heart
You once felt the frustration of not being able to communicate. I feel that same frustration now. You weren't held back by inferiority or breathlessness. It was circumstantial. But I want you to know... you're OK as you are.
Winter
Winter makes it clear that the best hot springs are in Former Hell's Former Capital. You can envy that as much as you like.
I can't find the words to express the things I've learnt. I'll need time and help to explain properly. I'm the opposite of who I used to be. I'm so jealous!
Enhancement
I can never have too much power. Because my envy is bottomless.
Return
My bullets were enviable, huh? Go on, envy them.
Home 1
You don't understand... No, I'm not trying to blame you. Or make you feel bad. I understand perfectly, it's just... Argh, this is so frustrating.
Home 2
I'm the youkai of envy. That's why I envied humans far into the future. And now, as a shrine maiden bearing the Seoritsu's authority, I tell you this: Soon, your trial will begin.
Home 3
Wait, that WAS you, right? ...Urgh, I'm sorry. I still don't fully understand. But I thought that was you.
Reaction 1
You... No, that's not right. Lady of Conceptual Strings?
Reaction 2
Tell me about my missing memories, Khvarenah.
Reaction 3
When did you fall asleep on my lap? If only this were all in my imagination. *pats head*
Task
Tasks? You're a hard worker. Maybe that WAS you back then...
Task Complete
Good job completing your task. I'm super jealous. *pats head*
Mail
This letter... At this point, I've forgotten who sent it.
Errand Finished
Our friends have returned, huh? ...Hey, would you mind if I cried?

Character Information
Temperament: Al-Haffar
Al-Haffar (a Touhou LW original) refers to the first shamal (strong wind) that blows. This is the temperament of Parsee, who arrived at the furthest reaches of the world after travelling in search of paradise.
The dead talk of many things. Their wide-ranging conversations have imbued Parsee with the temperament of stars (strong against Moon Essence, but weak to Sun Essence).
Ability/Backstory: Capable of manipulating jealousy (Lost)
The ability of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). Parsee completely lost this ability due to a Lost Word. She is currently regaining it little by little, though not through restoring or replicating her old ability, but with a newly constructed original ability that formed a core to build upon. She has continued to travel across worlds to try and end the Lost Word Incident.
Persia is an ancient kingdom of the Middle East. In Japan, its kanji symbols were once used to describe the entire Western world. Materialistic humans and spiritual youkai―countless beings made their way east along the Silk Road. They were all drawn toward the distant land where the sun rises, a warm and bountiful paradise. Some stopped halfway through their journey, and others had a change of heart. And now, all of them exist only in death, shouting into the void in the hopes someone hears them. That is history. That is the memory of the world. That is... the shrine maiden who never became a shrine maiden. The sun that never became a god. The woman who never became an oni. No doubt about it, Parsee Mizuhashi is a youkai.
Humans want to believe there is only one right path, and that there is only one past and one future. Or rather, it's not possible for them to believe otherwise. But that belief is nothing more than an illusion, arising from the way memories appear to line up in order. The past, as perceived by the individual, is merely a sequence of events, arranged in the most convenient order.
Bridges. Since ancient times, various objects have been placed at the borders of settlements. They served both to protect the community and to warn outsiders. Even before the emergence of defined symbols like dousojin or jizou, these objects played similar roles. One of the most well-known are "saka" slopes, said to derive from "sakai," meaning boundary. A notable example is Yomotsu Hirasaka, the slopes leading to the land of the dead.
Bridges, too, were seen as paths to other worlds. If we consider saka as "slopes that provide passage," then they don't just serve as boundaries, they also act as gates. The same is true for bridges. They are gaps cut into the natural boundary of a river. The Earth has never been an easy place to traverse. Paths that didn't exist had to be carved, trodden into the dirt by countless steps, until they became roads others could travel.
And this isn't just a physical truth. It applies conceptually as well. When someone blazes a trail of knowledge, others can follow it. That knowledge is then refined into technology and shared. The Silk Road is not merely a physical trade route―it represents the flow of culture itself. Bridge by bridge, again and again, the Earth became traversable.
That said, the Earth's roundness presents a problem. The land where the sun rises, the paradise where the sun is reborn, cannot exist here. So maybe we should set our sights on space. But even the edge of the universe cannot be found within this space-time. It lies along an entirely separate axis.
Now then, it's your turn to speak. We aren't done yet. And you still don't know words. It's OK to take your time. Just don't let the flame of your story go out.
Khvarenah
Khvarenah is the embodiment of all history, not just the history of youkai. By default, things are constantly being lost from this world. How much simpler things would be if it were easy to reclaim them. But if it were just as easy to forget what's been lost, then humanity would have already taken to the stars, and youkai would have evolved into something new.
The struggle to resist the pull of nostalgia, and the curiosity for a future that lies as an extension of the past. It's the green flame that flickers between these two that keeps us moving forward. That's why the light of that flame is both the voice of the dead and the lost, hidden sun of the youkai.
Attacks
Enviable Counselees
The Spread Shot of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She listens to the dead in this attack.
Parsee can hear the voices of the dead. Phantoms, vengeful spirits―they all have something unique to say. Those who pray to the hashihime are usually after one thing: the gift of severed ties. To the living, severing ties can be a necessary or selfish act, depending on the circumstances. But perhaps for the dead, it's one of the few ways they can finally be freed from lingering regrets and attachments. In that sense, Parsee's counseling plays a role in keeping them in the Underworld.
"Everything brings back memories. But right now, I don't wish for severed ties. I wish for reconnection."
Bullets
"Phantoms have it easy."
"They just float around."
"They have no job."
"They can't leave the Underworld."
"But otherwise, they're free."
"I'm so jealous."
Disliked Underworld Caretaker
The Spread Shot of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She listens to the Underworld caretaker in this attack.
Parsee may not be able to read minds like a certain Underworld youkai can, but she can get to know people very well. Because she makes a point to truly listen to others, she can grasp what it feels like to be that mind-reading youkai. Reading minds is a power so incredible it could make anyone jealous. But Parsee knows it's not as simple as it seems. She also knows that in the Underworld, being hated is practically the same as being praised.
Bullets
"I know you're hated."
"But your ability's great."
"You do important work."
"I'm kinda grateful."
"The others are, too."
"We're all jealous."
Persia: "Watch Your Head" Nuisance
A Spell Card of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She recalls a tsurube-otoshi with whom she shared joys and sorrows.
Among the youkai in the Night Parade, there was a tsurubebi. Tsurubebi are like the ancestors of tsurube-otoshi, and are thought to be mysterious fires ignited by old tree spirits on rainy days. It's as simple as water nourishes wood, wood feeds fire. The key here is wood temperament, which shares the same attribute as Parsee's jade-green eyes. It's also what links the water god hashihime with the flames of her iron circlet.
Bullets
"Thanks to you―"
"The path to the Underworld is safe."
"If you scare them off―"
"The humans stay away."
"It's terrifying beyond the id."
"There's nothing but jealousy."
Persia: Master Slinger Signaller's Pathogen
A Spell Card of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She recalls a tsuchigumo with whom she shared joys and sorrows.
Youkai, like Parsee Mizuhashi, with deep connections to curses and rituals, can be seen as remnants of ancient shrine maidens. This is especially true if they carry strong ties to folk beliefs. The practice of offering prayers to human-shaped figures and performing rituals upon them dates back to the Jomon era. At a certain point, such practices ceased to be seen as ways to ward off evil and were instead viewed as means to cast curses. This marked a turning point where traditional folk practitioners began to be labeled as witches. Blessings and curses, happiness and calamity. These aren't simply opposites. They're two sides of the same coin, or perhaps even the same surface twisted like a Mobius strip.
Defiant shrine maidens, who once fought bravely for their kin, lived in pit dwellings passed down since the Jomon era. Their lifestyle resembled that of tsuchigumo. Though outdated in form, these pit dwellings were created with highly advanced techniques and held the secrets to civil engineering methods that had long vanished from the cities. The humans in the capital wanted this knowledge. To build tall, beautiful, and durable structures was a symbol of power and authority.
Bullets
"You're really good―"
"At talking to people and stuff."
"Is it an echo of the past?"
"The outcasts."
"You were their leader."
"I'm so jealous."
Persian Princess's Endless Jealousy
The Last Word of Parsee Mizuhashi, who has almost reached the end (a Touhou LW original). She waits endlessly atop a bridge.
Sure, Parsee's good at driving nails. But doesn't mean she goes around building things. All she does is bless bridges. History shows that bridges have always stood apart from other structures. Creating one that's practical, safe, and durable is the ultimate architectural challenge. The environment they must endure is harsh, and their importance is immense.
Mother Nature could easily use all her flowing water to sever the connection between riverbanks that a bridge represents. But not if there's a water god protecting that bridge.
"Really, Yuugi? I know you're the one who keeps the Former Capital youkai in line. But why are you reminding me of all this? What are you trying to distract me from?
You're always trying to play nice with everyone. Let me guess. You've been sticking your nose into other people's business. Honestly..."
Bullets
"You refuse to unite us."
"So we're all apart."
"How are you gonna fix this?"
"You don't know how we feel."
"You're wandering off again."
"Quit making us worry."
Skills
Skill: 59th Night Parade
"The hashihime's shrine stands by the Uji Bridge in Yamashiro. Her face and form are utterly hideous."
Skill: Uji Hashihime
"On a cold straw mat, I lay down my robe. Is she waiting for me again tonight? The hashihime of Uji."
- Author unknown
Skill: Seoritsu's Avatar
The river washes away all things, and the bridge becomes a boundary. Spirits pass through, youkai gather, and oni emerge.
