In any case, a place this isolated from the world shouldn't be home to such a refined establishment. The sky was dim, and a strange aura hung in the air. Yet even in old folktales, these mysterious places often serve food to visitors. (Except for Onigashima.) Perhaps treating visitors to a meal is a kind of universal custom. Maybe these places appear in stories because they once existed in our world? "Is everything to your liking?"
