Character Information

Temperament: Usugiri
Usugiri (a Touhou LW original) refers to a thin mist. It is the temperament of Suika Ibuki, who rules over the New Land of the Oni. Suika's original temperament of Metal Phase (strong against Earth Phase but weak to Fire Phase) and Moon Essence (strong against Sun Essence but weak to Star Essence) has combined with the king of the oni, Shuten-Douji's temperament of Earth Phase (strong against Fire Phase but weak to Wood Phase).
Ability/Backstory: Capable of manipulating density (Berserk)
The ability of Suika Ibuki (W1) from Multiverse Trail 4 (a Touhou LW original). It's basically the same as the abilities belonging to most other Suikas. Apparently, during the Heian period (794-1185), oni threatened the capital city. They terrified the humans, saying they would turn Japan into Makai, a realm of magic and demons. This was the beginning of the Night Parade, a procession of youkai that rampaged across the country... But whether these things actually happened or not is up for debate. At the very least, they seem to be historical facts in this Memory Fragment, a world with a divergence factor of 4 within the W-Type Multiverse. But do these "facts" actually align with the past? This world's past is shrouded in a fantastical haze, hindering further investigation. The following is an excerpt of a report magically inscribed on an oversized Ibuki Gourd. "Ibarakiiiii? Hoshigumaaaaa?" Shamelessly, I tried calling for them, even though I knew they couldn't answer. They're gone. Same with all the other youkai who threw in their lot with our Night Parade. I'll never hear their voices again. "I've come a long way... Regrettably, I'm the only one left to witness this." No matter where I looked, I couldn't find a suitable place to build a new Land of the Oni. Humans live everywhere now. I wasn't even able to find my body parts. Not a single one. I thought I'd at least find an arm or a leg, but no... I traveled all across this archipelago, from Ezo in the north to Ryukyu in the south, and still I kept wandering. Thinking back, did our Night Parade truly walk this land I see before me? We're spiritual beings, not of this material realm. If we wanted, we could travel to the depths of Hell. That's what it means to be an oni. Not to mention that we tried to turn these islands into Makai. Was our journey really confined to this archipelago? It felt like we walked ten times―no, over a hundred times its length. Where have we been walking all that time? Did something happen to these islands or did something happen to us...? "Hang on, what is this place? Where am I?" I had grown familiar with the archipelago and all its sights. This place is obviously different. It's like a foreign country. The climate, the air, the smell of the plants, they're all different. But... I don't remember crossing the ocean. It's like we've reached the edge of the map. We've been walking too long, traveling too long. Have we―no, it's only me now―have I come as far as I can go? Does the world truly have an end? And if it does, is it really such a lonely and desolate place like this? There's no way I could build a Land of the Oni here, and I sincerely doubt I'll find any of my body parts sealed away here, either. I should turn around and go back. Yes, that's what I should do. Only... I can't. Oni are spiritual beings. Unlike humans, we don't need to eat the flesh of others. Of course, we're not perpetual motion machines either. We can't run on nothing. Oni consume a different kind of meat. We have our own metabolisms, our own form of sustenance, our own concept of health. I won't go into details, but to keep living, I had to make sacrifices. No, calling them a "sacrifice" doesn't give them the respect they deserve. Similar to how humans run out of food on long journeys, the longer we traveled, the harder it was to find the sustenance we oni needed. So, I ate them to live. They wanted me to do it. They asked me to eat them so I wouldn't feel bad about it. That's why there's only one oni left in the Night Parade. And soon, there won't be any. Even if I desperately tried to gather my scattered oni essence, it's already too late. My army is the Night Parade. No human or youkai can stand against foregathered oni.

Attacks

Mini Kishin's Will-o'-Wisp Art

The Spread Shot of Suika Ibuki (W1) from Multiverse Trail 4 (a Touhou LW original). She uses mini oni magic in this attack. The Night Parade was a group of youkai, united in their search for a new Land of the Oni. They made camp on Mount Oe and played with the humans in the nearby city. Things seemed to be going well, but then, it all went to Hell. The humans destroyed everything and ruined all the fun. No, that's an oversimplification. It all started going wrong when the oni dragged the humans into their "fun" without a thought for how it made them feel.

Mini Foregathering Spiritual Flowers

The Focus Shot of Suika Ibuki (W1) from Multiverse Trail 4 (a Touhou LW original). She uses mini oni magic in this attack. The oni couldn't understand the humans. After the fact, Suika would complain, saying, "If they didn't like it, they should've just said so." But this just further highlights the difference in sensibilities between humans and oni. The humans that came to Mount Oe on that fateful day were familiar faces, so, assuming they wanted to play, Suika welcomed them with a feast.

Oni Sign: Pea-Sized Needle Hell

A Spell Card of Suika Ibuki (W1) from Multiverse Trail 4. She attacks with her even tinier oni clones. Suika never imagined that the humans would be so angry. She believed that resentment and holding grudges were the sole purview of the oni and had forgotten that all emotions originated from humans. They slipped poison into her drink, sealed her movements with binding magic, and then proceeded to carve her up with their swords. According to some false data records, all that was left of Suika was her head. She was cut into nine pieces, and then each piece was sealed in a different corner of Japan. She was the only youkai to have ever been exterminated in this manner, indicating how deeply they must have resented her.

I'm guessing that would only happen if I followed a different fate. I got so cut up that my memories are all out of whack. And the few things that I am sure about, I can't exactly share with you."

Find the Scattered Body, Feel an Oni's Wrath

The Last Word of Suika Ibuki (W1) from Multiverse Trail 4 (a Touhou LW original). She reflects on her failure to gather her body parts in this attack. "I was in a complete daze until I reunited with Ibaraki and Hoshiguma. They pulled me out of it, saying we could start over. Over the next few days, we managed to gather together some of the survivors who had fled in all directions. Things became a bit more cheerful. I only learned this later, but apparently, the oni of this time period followed various fates. Some traveled to the Land of the Oni, others to Hell or the Underworld. There was no set pattern to where they came from and where they ended up. This means that the decision I made back then wasn't a mistake, after all. I decided that while looking for the rest of my body, I'd also seek a new Land of the Oni, hoping that someday the humans would be willing to play with us again."
