Seal Crystals are strange and wondrous things, unlike any other crystal in the world. Rumor has it they're all-powerful, capable of granting any wish. But since that's all anyone really knows, only those who possess one are said to know the truth. Even then, it's said that much about them remains a mystery even to their owners.

Today was supposed to be just another ordinary day. That is, until Sekibanki found a Seal Crystal lying on the side of the road during her daily walk. "No way, is this really...?!" The shape, the size, the way it sparkled―it all matched the rumors down to the last detail. And there it was, just sitting on this practically abandoned forest path. Was she having the luckiest day of her life? Sekibanki couldn't wipe the grin off her face. It could grant any wish, after all. Of course she was thrilled. If anyone saw her looking like this, they'd definitely mistake her for some shady youkai and try to exterminate her. "Now, what should I wish for?"

"I want to be the strongest in all of Gensokyo." Sekibanki felt once she was strong enough, nothing would scare her anymore. She could probably even beat the shrine maiden! "I want some new friends, too." Getting a few talented allies on her side wouldn't be so bad. Or she could just be their friend instead, she thought. "But I really want that limited-time anmitsu from the Human Village." That sweets shop was always so packed, and watching the anmitsu sell out right in front of her the other day still stung. "Ugh, I can't decide!" So many wishes kept swirling around in her head... just like her other heads floating around her. But Sekibanki was pretty sure only one wish could come true. She knew she had to choose carefully.

Sekibanki decided to calm down and think things through rationally, weighing the pros and cons of each option. If she became the strongest in Gensokyo, she reasoned, she'd literally have nothing left to fear. Not having to worry about some nameless threat popping up out of nowhere wouldn't be so bad. Kagerou and Wakasagihime were already her good friends, but she did want new friends. She wasn't great with crowds, but she didn't mind having a bit of fun. Then again, she couldn't stop thinking about that anmitsu. She had to get it soon before it sold out again. Back and forth she went, turning each option over in her mind. With all her other heads watching over her, she finally landed on her wish. She picked the one she knew she wouldn't regret. It was time to make her wish on the Seal Crystal.

"...!" As if in response to her wish, the Seal Crystal began to glow. "Aaaaah!" Engulfed in blinding light, Sekibanki blinked and found herself waking up in the middle of the forest. "Huh? Wait... where'd the Seal Crystal go?" Her eyelids felt heavy, her head was foggy, and the night sky above was pitch black. There was only one answer she could draw from all that. "Was it... all just a dream?" She remembered she hadn't had anything to do today, so she'd taken a nap. "...Guess it really was too good to be true." She let out a heavy sigh and hung her head. It wasn't real. So what was the point of thinking so hard about it? Was there even a point? She thought so. After all, thinking about her hopes and wishes like that was fun in itself.
