Angelic Nurse

Mentioned Characters: Reisen, Toyohime, Eirin, Sagume
Story
Sagume Kishin is a Lunar sage living in the Lunar Capital. She possesses the ability to reverse a situation with her words. Perhaps due to her connection with the Lunarians, she has been sighted coming and going from Eientei, and is now training to be a nurse under the watchful eye of Reisen Udongein Inaba. The mask she wears is equipped with a voice-modulator to prevent her ability from altering the world around her. That's the hope, at least...

"Lady Sagume, what in the world...?" A small number of medical staff work in secret at Eientei. One day, a nurse trolley was found, flipped on its head. "It just ended up like this," said Sagume earnestly, wearing her white mask. Sagume Kishin studied medicine at Eientei as one of Lady Yagokoro's supporters. Every day, something went wrong. The moment she came into contact with any medical equipment, it would flip over and break. Whether this was a side effect of suppressing her ability with her mask or simply due to her natural clumsiness was unclear. However, one thing WAS clear: if things went on like this, Eientei would be in serious trouble.

"Right... But, things don't normally just END UP flipped over, do they?" Reisen, the senior nurse, was at her wits' end, having been tasked with training this troublesome new nurse. From Sagume's perspective, though, there was nothing she could do. After all, she wasn't intentionally flipping anything over. Suddenly, a third voice cut through the tense atmosphere. "Oh, it's you two. I'm glad I found you." The voice belonged to none other than Eirin Yagokoro. She placed the letter she was holding on the desk for Sagume and Reisen to read. "This came from Toyohime. Apparently, there's a huge health craze on the Moon right now, and they're short on doctors and nurses to handle all the medical exams and consultations." "OK..." "I thought you two might be able to help. What do you think?" "I'll go," said Sagume, without a moment's hesitation.

"This one works... This one's no good." *BOOM* Amid the flood of Lunarians caught up in the Moon's health craze, rushing in for consultations, Sagume was performing far beyond expectations. The Astral Door above her blessed her with medical knowledge directly, allowing her to instantly tell which of the countless new medicines were worth taking. "This is a quality supplement... Ah, this one's a scam." *BOOM* "Lady Sagume! Don't destroy the bad ones right away!" As Reisen's warnings flew her way, Sagume continued to handle the Lunarians' consultations. Before long, a moon rabbit with an especially grave expression approached. "Um... my daughter's unwell," she said. "I wanted to bring her here, but she can't even get out of bed." Sagume spread the feathers of her one wing. "I'll go."

Without hesitation, Sagume flew to the home of the troubled moon rabbit. Inside, she found the sick daughter, weak and barely conscious, being tended to by a small rabbit―presumably, another relative. "I'm a nurse. I'm here to help," said Sagume. "Is this... the patient?" The small rabbit nodded, tears swelling in their eyes. "Every doctor we've seen says there's no cure. We don't know what to do anymore..." "I need to examine the patient. Alone." After the small rabbit left, Sagume checked that no one else was in the room and removed her mask. She approached the bedridden rabbit and said, "You will be plagued by poor health and constant worry." Finally, she confirmed the sick rabbit hadn't registered what was said and took to the skies. The next day, at Sagume and Reisen's pop-up Lunar clinic, that same rabbit could be seen hopping about, as happy and healthy as could be.
