Clash of the Resurrected

Mentioned Characters: Byakuren, Shou, Murasa, Miko, Ichirin
Story
Byakuren Hijiri, the Grand Acharya, can be seen here dressed in a custom-made black leather outfit equipped with rabbit ears to represent Easter. It was apparently made with ease of movement in mind, allowing her to fight at full strength. Excerpt From an Interview: "Can you tell me about the day you returned from Makai?" "I suppose I could... but that story isn't just about me. Everyone went to such lengths to save me. Ichirin, Murasa, Shou..." [What follows is a detailed record of a half-day sermon. It has been omitted here.]

Toyosatomimi no Miko is an all-powerful Taoist and can be seen here also wearing a rabbit-themed outfit. Adorned with accessories rarely seen in Gensokyo, this outfit was actually made using an artifact. Naturally, she still wears earmuffs to help control her ability. Excerpt From a Conversation: "Do you remember the day you awoke?" "I remember it well... The path I chose was the right one. That's all there is to it."

A monk of Myouren Temple and a saint of the Divine Spirit Mausoleum. One teaches their disciples to transcend the cycle of reincarnation, the other seeks harmony with nature in the pursuit of immortality. Setting aside their personalities, it's easy to see that their ideologies and positions conflict. It's not uncommon for them to trade sharp words or even bullets. But how do they really feel about one another? They've been known to fight side by side, each entrusting the other with their life. Perhaps the most fitting way to describe them is not as friends or enemies but as rivals.

When Worlds Collide Let's revisit an Easter festival gone by, where the main event was called the Great Gensokyo Swordsmanship Melee. The event all came down to a one-on-one duel between the two team leaders. For a brief moment, they locked eyes, watching one another's every move. The crowd fell deathly silent as the pair's fighting spirits flared. Then, without warning, they burst towards each other. Steel crashed against steel. The duel to determine the best swordsman had begun.

Sparks flew as their duel grew ever more fierce. Despite knowing only one of them could emerge victorious, both wore smiles on their faces. It was as if they were savoring each moment, reveling in the thrill of the fight. Without a doubt, they are rivals, but only they are capable of pushing each other to their limits and beyond. "Pfft, that all you got?" "As if. I'm just getting started." Their mid-battle exchanges may seem like mere taunts, but they were also a plea for the other to take things up a notch. "Good. I don't want you holding back on me." That final taunt, not much more than a whisper, was quickly drowned out by the roaring of the crowd.
