Satori Komeiji is a powerful satori youkai. She is the leader of the Palace of the Earth Spirits, found in Former Hell. Possessing the ability to read minds, she is avoided by some humans and youkai. But it has helped her grow close with her pets.

Utsuho Reiuji is a Hell raven living in the palace. She is one of Satori Komeiji's pets and is infused with the spirit of Yatagarasu. This infusion granted her the ability to emit incredible heat, but thanks to her pure and honest nature, she has never misused her power.

Rin Kaenbyou is a kasha youkai and another of Satori Komeiji's pets. She is tasked with managing the vengeful spirits and transporting corpses to the Remains of Blazing Hell. Her ability allows her to do just that, and she loads any corpses she finds into her wheelbarrow before whisking them away.

Satori Komeiji sat alone in her room. It wasn't like she'd locked herself in and posted a warning sign on the door. She simply had no visitors and so found no reason to leave. For Satori, this was nothing unusual. Her mind-reading ability deterred any youkai from entering the palace with ill intentions. Even those without a scheme in mind―be they human or youkai―tended to avoid her, fearing their innermost thoughts would be exposed. Satori never resented them for it. After living with her ability for so many years, she had long since grown used to the situation. Still, on rare occasions and only for a moment, she would catch herself wishing that― "We're coming in!"

Orin and Okuu burst into Satori's room, interrupting her train of thought. "Oh, it's you." With her ability, there was no need to ask why they had come. With warm smiles, they approached her. "Heh heh, we couldn't stay away." "You don't mind, do you?" Satori rolled her eyes. "It's not like anything would change if I said yes." She didn't need to read their minds to know how much they cared for her. It was written all over their faces. All of a sudden, Satori's younger sister, Koishi, appeared in the doorway, holding a camera. "All right, everyone, it's time for a family photo!" Nestled between Orin and Okuu, Satori smiled. "You lot really are a handful."
