To the Fantasy World A massive swarm of evil spirits, brimming with magical power, erupted from behind the shrine. Reimu set out to exterminate them, while Marisa hoped to claim their power for herself. They both ventured to the lake on the mountain behind the shrine. Beyond it lay the Fantasy World, a place unlike anything in the human world. On the border stood Mugenkan. And it was there they battled a youkai passing through called Orange; Kurumi, the vampire guardian of the lake; and Elly, Mugenkan's scythe-wielding gatekeeper. What was the goal of Yuuka, the owner of Mugenkan? She plotted a grand invasion of the human world, but why? No concrete records remain of what truly transpired. What follows is strictly false data, but who knows, the true tale may have been similar...

A Way to Kill Boredom "Seriously? That's why you're doing this?" Exasperated, the girl dressed like a maid countered with a volley of bullets. She was clearly used to this kind of nonsense. "Give me a break. If some outsider barged in for a dumb reason like that..." Yuuka fired a massive laser, only for a girl with angel wings to dodge it by a hair. The winged girl then immediately launched a near-identical attack. Yuuka, the girl with green hair, laughed. She was having fun, which was basically the whole point.

Not Asking for Much To be summoned in a spectacular ritual and feast on live sacrifices. To spread a wicked religion to toy with human minds. To unleash a sinister virus and plunge the world into chaos. Perhaps once, Yuuka dreamed of such things. But those days are long gone. Now, humans explain everything away, labeling them as societal or natural phenomena. (Though maybe a ritual summoning would still give them the creeps.) So she decided to enjoy games. After all, humans take them surprisingly seriously.

And just like that, the fun was over. To them, the Fantasy World was home. To Yuuka, it was simply a backyard.
