Ready to Be a Maid

Mentioned Characters: Kasen, Cirno, Rumia
Story
Rumia is a youkai of the dusk, with a bit of an appetite, playing the role of a maid. She diligently helped out with the chores, all in pursuit of some very special chocolate. She was usually all about food, but there was something adorable about the way she happily hummed as she changed outfits. She may be a youkai of the dusk, but she's also just a girl excited to play dress up.

Ibaraki-Douji's Arm is the lady with light pink hair. Cirno and her friends called her Kasen, thinking she was the wise hermit well-known throughout the Human Village. But something about her didn't quite add up. She even seemed to have horns on her head. As it turned out, she wasn't Kasen. She was, in fact, the fearsome right arm of the oni Ibaraki-Douji, once sealed away. Wearing a maid outfit and clearly not thrilled about it, she looked like someone caught in the middle of something out of the ordinary.

Maid uniforms at the Scarlet Devil Mansion are tailored to suit a wide range of species. Some say they're just spares for the current staff, while others suspect it's all part of the mistress's fondness for new and unusual things. No one knows the truth. That said, having a range of designs suited to each maid's taste apparently does wonders for morale.

Chocolate Full of Feelings "Just hold still!" With surprising dexterity, Rumia dressed Ibaraki-Douji's Arm, aka "Kasen," in a maid outfit. Though clearly unenthusiastic, "Kasen" wore an outfit adorned with a large peony at the chest and vine-like embroidery trailing across the white apron tied around her waist. Grinning from ear to ear, Rumia tied the final ribbon. It was a beautifully crafted outfit, tailored to elevate the wearer's elegance. But even wrapped in such a well-made ensemble, "Kasen's" expression remained as displeased as ever.

Ibaraki-Douji's Arm cursed her fate in silence. How had it come to this? One thing had led to another, and now she was somehow stuck looking after two fairies and a youkai. Worse still, she'd been roped into helping with the chores at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Normally, she'd have ignored them without a second thought, but she had to keep up appearances as "Kasen." What she hadn't expected was to be dressed by a tiny, overenthusiastic youkai. The little one seemed to be in an unreasonably good mood as she dressed her up, and upsetting her probably wasn't the best idea. "All done!" Rumia chimed, giving her a light pat on the back. The outfit was much cuter than anything she'd normally wear. "...Could be worse," she muttered under her breath, not quite as annoyed as she'd expected to be.
