Report #270

Story
This photo shows a room used by the mistress of this building. It's part office, part reception area, with the feel of a private study. Something about it is reminiscent of a detective's office.

Excerpt from R's report: "It's still warm. As if someone was just here. And yet, that someone is gone. Everything else remains unchanged, watching time tick by. That's how it feels, at least. Unless this world was only created five minutes ago."

Excerpt from M's report: "Whoever's room this is, they have good taste. They say a person's bookshelf reflects who they are, and maybe that's true. Classic detective novels... An interest in human behavior. Encyclopedias and academic papers about animals... A fascination with understanding those they can't communicate with."

Excerpt from R's report: "Oh, I see. This room's got some kind of underfloor heating. That's why it's so warm. There's probably a pool of magma or something below it. This place was always meant to be warm. Once you know the trick, it's nothing special. Still, it's a nice room."

Excerpt from M's report: "Books on rulership... That's unexpected. Maybe they actually took leading others seriously. And finally... relationship advice books? I wonder if they had some kind of trouble with family members."
