Science With Sanaes!

Mentioned Characters: Sanae, Nitori, Suika
Story
Sanae Kochiya is the Moriya shrine maiden, and she commutes to school from the Youkai Mountain. She supposedly descends from a native god and has inherited the sacred role of wind priestess, along with secret techniques passed down from generation to generation. Her boundless curiosity and overconfidence often earn her scoldings from the academy's discipline officers. Due to a collision between parallel worlds, there are now two Sanaes in this world.

Naive Science Club Student Sanae Kochiya, the existing Hakurei Shrine Academy student, had a dilemma. She was struggling to make progress in her ongoing venture to create new types of medicine. Not long ago, a Sanae from another world appeared, and for a while, it was all anyone in class could talk about. However, the old Sanae was far more interested in chemistry than interdimensional physics, so she opted to ignore the new Sanae and focus solely on her experiments.

Steam & Academy Life The newly arrived Sanae Kochiya also had a dilemma. She had come face to face with the harsh reality that Hakurei Shrine Academy didn't have a giant robot. When she first arrived in this world, the entire academy was abuzz, but the only thing on Sanae's mind was whether or not it had a robot. The fact that another Sanae existed simply didn't matter. However, good news soon came from her friend, Suika Ibuki. It wasn't a robot, but rumor had it that something robot-like was stored in the science lab. With her hopes soaring, the new Sanae made her way straight there.

Crossed Dimension Chronicles "This must be the place. Let's see what we've got―" BOOM! Upon reaching the science lab, Sanae was greeted by a mysterious explosion and a cloud of pink smoke. Most students would have been scared off, but not her. As a lover of steam, she was no stranger to explosions. She flung open the door and yelled, "Is this where you build robots?!" "Are you... me?!" coughed the old Sanae, clad in a white lab coat. The new Sanae didn't answer her counterpart's question. All she wanted to know was whether there were robots in production. After a few more coughs and splutters, the old Sanae told her, "I haven't made any yet... but if this experiment succeeds, I might get around to it someday!" "For real?! Lemme help you out, then!" And so, Sanae and Sanae's joint research efforts began.

"It worked! The colors came out just like the theory predicted!" "Wow! Any one of them would be great for robot armor!" Thanks to the combined efforts of the two Sanaes, the Science Club's research had taken a huge leap forward. Together, they successfully created a series of brand-new, mysterious fluorescent compounds. "All this little guy needs is an exterior..." mumbled the new Sanae, gazing fondly at the steampunk-style model on the desk. At first, the Science Club Sanae hadn't been the slightest bit interested in robots, but after spending day after day experimenting together, the desire to build one for her adorable lab assistant had blossomed. Thinking back on the model's original owner, she said, "Maybe Miss Nitori has some materials that could work for the exterior." "Really?!" squealed the new Sanae. "Yep! Let's head to the Genbu Ravine right away and do a little fieldwork!" It seemed their lab partnership was far from over.
