Ubame Chirizuka is the king of the yamanba. She spends her days in the sanctuary, watching over it and the mountain amid nature's majesty. If it were up to her, she'd avoid all contact with outsiders, but if they threaten her sanctuary, she won't hold back. Unfortunately, on this particular day, she herself was locked out of the sanctuary.
It started like any other day. Ubame was foraging for wild mountain herbs and vegetables while keeping an eye on the sanctuary's borders to prevent anyone from sneaking in. This was her usual routine, until suddenly... it wasn't.
Ubame felt a change. Was it a change in the wind? An earthquake? A landslide? No. She didn't know what it was. But she instinctively knew that the sanctuary was in danger. She rushed out of the sanctuary, determined to face the threat head-on.
Ubame checked the surrounding area, but found nothing out of the ordinary. After a while, she headed back to the sanctuary's entrance. But when she got there, a mysterious power prevented her from stepping inside. It was as if it were enclosed by an invisible wall.
"What's going on?"
Whatever it was, it wasn't natural. Someone was messing with the sanctuary.
Who did this? Was it a human? A youkai? Or something even worse? Whatever the case, Ubame was going to figure out what was happening and put a stop to it. Just as Ubame strengthened her resolve, she saw a human flying toward her. They were carrying a colorful, shiny stone. As the human got closer, Ubame flew up and cut her off. Then, she clenched her fists and yelled, "What'd you do to the sanctuary?!"
