Kagerou Imaizumi spends most of her time in the bamboo forest and can be seen here snacking on a rice cracker. She's usually thought of as one of the more peaceful youkai, but on the night of the harvest festival, she was in the Human Village hunting for sweets. She wasn't wearing her usual outfit, instead opting to wear a red dress and a big purple bow, making her look somewhat similar to a certain dullahan. Having gotten to savor delicious sweets she wouldn't be able to get her hands on in the bamboo forest, it seems she had a great night at the festival.

Sekibanki is the rokurokubi holding the pumpkin-shaped container. Due to her timid nature, she tends to avoid crowds, but today she plucked up the courage to dress up with her friends and venture out in search of sweets. She didn't have an overly sweet tooth, but she enjoyed seeing her friends' faces light up whenever they received another treat. It looks like she picked her outfit to look like a certain mermaid's regular attire. She was with the other Grassroots Youkai Network youkai, so she knew there was nothing to be afraid of.

Wakasagihime is the mermaid with a big basket of sweets and an even bigger smile. She usually spends her time by the riverbank collecting stones, but she couldn't resist the idea of collecting sweets for a change. Her outfit with its accompanying thick red belt was awfully similar to a certain werewolf's day-to-day outfit... She couldn't help but show her fascination with the inventive sweets the village humans' had made. In a way, they reminded her of the pretty stones she often found on the riverbed.

New Lunar Capital Expo! Today was the day of the Human Village's annual harvest festival. With their bountiful harvest of sweets, the three youkai skipped cheerfully along, smiling brightly. "Wow, it's so dark. We better be careful." "What are you talking about? Youkai like us don't have to be afraid walking out at night." "Yeah. We're what other people are afraid of!" With a chuckle, they continued strolling through the village. Before long, their topic of conversation shifted to a certain festival that was about to make its Gensokyo debut.

"By the way, did you hear about that expo they're planning to hold in the bamboo forest?" "Oh, yeah. What was it? The Lunar Capital Expo or something?" "No, no. This is the NEW Lunar Capital Expo." "What kind of festival is it?" "It's to celebrate all types of creations." "...Sweets count as creations, right? Do you think there'll be some there?" "Dunno. Maybe we should go together and see for ourselves." "That's a great idea! I'm in!" And just like that, the three youkai had decided on their next festival. As they left the village and began to make their way home, they discussed their plan for the expo. From far behind the girls, something fixed its gaze upon them... But before any of them had the chance to realize, it disappeared into the night.
